Offspot: promote music through mobile tech?
« on: April 18, 2007, 05:53:20 PM »
Do y'all have a spot? I'm thinking about signing up as another way to promote my music, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has a spot, or if they've heard of it. My friend is trying to get me to sign up for it, he's already got ringtones up from beats that he's made with his music.

Looks like a cool new way to share music, and maybe even make a little money off your rapping and beat building talents.

Basically, you make wallpapers, ringtones, and screen savers and video for mobile phones, and then you put them on your profile (Like You Tube for mobile) and then you can actually sell them per download (like iTunes, but for your phone)

Original content, and you can sell or share, and your profile is a lot like myspace. That's 3 reasons.

I just signed up really quickly, I threw up some wallpapers based on some photos and designs. If I made music, I'd definitely put some up as ringtones.
