The Eastsidaz song employs ELEMENTS of Billiejean. Erotic & Two Face recreated it with live drums & strings etc.

I know that  ;) I just thought it would be fun/interesting for cats that have not heard the Eastsidaz track to check out.  ;)

Erotic just announced, out here in Dallas, that him and Six2 will do a joint street album that MAY go under the group name MR. 2FACE & MR. MURDERER. He says it MAY be titled MR. MR.
Don't know bout you guys but i would love to hear that.
Supposedly they have been recording new material for this  and just feel as though they didn't feature each other enough on either of their albums.
So they want to have some fun.

Why not just include Erotic in Genacide?

No,NO you canīt re-create this classic.

16 - Brand New Formula -  :-[ 1/5

Chad, wouldn't you say that we've been a little too critical on that track?
i mean i still think it would have been better if The Formula wasn't recreated, as the original is better, but it's a better remake track than return of da livin' dead OG  IMO   ;)

on a side note, HighEyeCue is really needed in this topic

that is WHAT MAKES the SONG fool, remaking it and adding a different spin to it to tripp out too.

he did it, its been released, DOC has good ideas and knowledge, so that makes me right.

I probably was a little hard on it  :P
The OG is one of my all time favorite tracks. (I still got the FM remix in rotation  :P.)
So I feel that it was a mistake to remake it.
That said listening to the track now,it's sounds cool.... but ain't something I will put in rotation  :P ;)

I think The Brand New Formula was dope as hell! IMO the only thing that held that song back was D.O.C's voice. 2 give the beat a zero is a hater move. How can the beat be a zero when it uses the very same sample as the original??? Erotic added  a different bassline, some live drums, Jazze Pha on the hook, dope cuts, etc!! Plus it is unfair to judge the producer in this case on ANY remake of old D.O.C. songs since i know Erotic would have probably wanted to produce an entire album of new songs. The two remakes on this album sound like an attempt to bridge the old and the new by D.O.C. I understand why since the voice is CRAZY different. With D.O.C., in a sense being Erotic's boss on this album, i think it totally unfair to rate the beat a zero. Listen to the rest of that album. Do you hear ANY other songs that REMOTELY sound like NO ONE CAN DO IT BETTER? D.O.C. should have let Erotic continue to pull music out of his imagination or WHEREVER on the rest of the album. Even after saying that, I say HELTER SKELTER was the shit!!

I see and agree with what you're saying  ;) The reason for hating on it was simply because I love the original to death  ;)
Anyway,I love Helter Skelter as you can read here; (the full review)
http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=144128.msg1738137#msg1738137
But DOC should have skipped the remakes  ;)
