Producing Equipment?

Hello,
Im Thinking Of Getting Into Music Production , But I Have No Idea Of The Equipment I Would Need.
So.....Does U Know Any Websites Which Can Help 2 Know Which Equipment I Would Need To Start Producing? or Any Computer Software That Is Good For Beginners?
(I Read Somewhere That "Ableton Live 6" Is Good 4 Beginners. Do U Know Anything About That?)

if you doing computer, get 2 power monitors, interface, mac g5 computer, keyboards, midi cables.  Get a software programs (i suggest reason, logic pro 7...etc).

Im Just Planning On Using My Home Computer And A Production Software, And Mayb A Keyboard With Beat/Drum Pads (http://www.dv247.com/invt/32482/).
But Really I Have No I Dea Of The Software. I Cant Use Logic Pro/Express Cos I Dont Have An Apple PC

I started on fruity loops, and still use it a bit.  The new versions can do a lot.  Its really good for Drums sequencing.  It's cool for sampling too.  I suggest trying that out before you spend a lot of money on other stuff.  You can download a ton of free soundfonts from all over the internet too.
