See I don't know, but I done seen alot for my age
I been thru situations that prolly mad children can name
Same shit, same cycle, it's like every kid is growing up the same
People don't seem to understand that this 'life' ain't a game
It's like, well, who's gonna be our daddy for this month?
Is it gonna be mom's new boyfriend or is dad really gonna step up
For me, it seems kinda crazy how the father figure is lost
Cuz he hates to see another man raise his child but they too expensive at his cost
It ain't hard on him though, and from what I hear the kids cryin' aint stoppin'
Cuz his mothers boyfriend don't get close and now he feels more unwanted

I ain't gonna front, I done been thru some shit in my lifetime
But what I'm seeing lately is more sicking than a dyke crime
So many children missing out on something they can't change
Who knew a complement to a kid can move his whole day
Just by one simple spoken word, by one simple phrase
That child can go home with one less thought on his brain
While his mother cooks dinner soon as she walks in the door from work
No talking to her, her day was too stressful and its sad she doesn't know wat she hurts
But it's life I guess, and unfortunately today you need to be bad to get attention
Cuz being good ain't really 'good', you get rewarded for the wrong intentions

I'm amazed how she walks and how this fly girl struts her stuff
But if a 22 year old asked her, how they so big, she gon say they stuffed
You don't gotta be smart to see all this girl wants is a little bit of love
But mommy's a hoe, so like mother, the daughter does

But if you asked him why he acts this way he wouldn't know what to say
And you don't gotta be the person he speaks rude to, to get why he a wreck
He doesn't act with what he was never taught, so he doesn't know what's respect
