Rakim Missed a Perfect Opportunity to drop his album
« on: July 07, 2007, 05:09:32 PM »
Rakim F"d up a perfect opportunity to release the 7th Seal today.  the perfect date 07/07/07. What the fuck happened? I am sick of these delays. I have been waiting on Rakim to drop every since this Dre shit started in 2000. How long does it take to drop a classic? He did it before....at least twice and it didn't take this long. Maybe he needs to call up Eric B. I will always support Ra, he's by far the GOAT but damn this shit is f'd up.

Albums can come out any day.  I remember Eminem and 50 Cent coming out on a day other than Tuesday.

Saying Rakim is washed up is just silly.

I gave up on a Rakim album ages ago.

I still believe in Rakim. He hasn't been touring and promoting this album for nothing. I just wish he quits all this BS and drop something. Even he's not what he use to be, he's better than the majority.

True, but usually labels drop the records on Tuesdays so they get a full week of sales before they add up the sales figures for that week. Those 50 & Em CD's came out at a time when their name alone sold the album like hot cakes in a few days.

I remember Ra doing a dope ass new joint live in the Hip-Hop Honors or whatever they were. Song was off the hook. Haven't heard anything about Ra or the album since then though.

the albums by Em,50 etc dropped on those days coz of the extreme bootlegging of them.
