The Carter II Sessions: FireMan *Enter Metaphoric Wayne*
« on: July 25, 2007, 12:31:49 AM »
This is how it all starts off. A raw 5 & a 1/2 min no chorus track which samples 'Moment of Truth' By Will Tee. Wayne is pretty much rhyming freestyle rhymes over Heatmakerz, you will encounter this 3 more times in the album none hotter than this though. After listening this track you will realize that Wayne doesn't need Mannie Fresh. This is one of the best album openers in the history of rap, you can bank this on your life

Notable Lines

"I want it like I didn't see a meal before seventeen
What the fuck you niggaz telling me?
You pups can't keep up with the pedigree
Catch me where the weather be somewhere in the seventies
Call myself settling palm trees Promethezine but whats new?"

"When the jungle was open I rolled in with the riders
Stole food from the bears and bought it back to the lions
Held Court with the apes I'm a gorilla but lighter
Got the eye of a tiger the heart of a fighter yeah
Start 'em ignite 'em I walk through fire
Watch the flames start multiplying whoo! yeah
Alter a nigga nina talk to a nigga
Take a chunk outcha body like a shark bit a nigga
I'm awkward like Cartwright fuck wit a nigga
Shot ugly but my arch right
C'mon dog bark, bite"

"Nowadays knowing life ain't no more road lights
We can't see but we gon' make it to the finish line
It's right there the goal line right behind the scrimmage line
Touchdown check the scoreboard gimme mines
Semi 9 fit me fine hit a nigga twenty times"

"See you fucking up the money baby that ain't good business
You starting to look like a witness and this is
For the gangstas and the bitches the hustlers and the hoes
Crossover whatever mainstream know
Cause Wayne thinks silent Wayne'll never fold
You heard it right here if the game was ever told
Lift up ya toes and look under a rug
Trust me there's history under all that dust
So deep down in the dirty there lies us (who?)
Yeah Cash Money Records and I'm still up front"

You may call this the official Carter II intro song as the listener is welcomed for the first time in this album which is now 2 songs deep. This is another raw lyrical track where Wayne spits freestyle rhymes over beats but this time the tracks much shorter and the beat belongs to T-Mix & Batman. By the end of this song a first time listener will be wondering if Wayne is gonna rip through the whole album without choruses and hooks. This song was nothing that special according to me but not many rappers can drop a song like tha mobb and come through straight ripping on the next track. Not even Wayne could live up to this but with that being said the purpose of this track is strictly introduction. This is the Carter II people.

Just when the listener wanted some flavor, Wayne provides them with just that by delivering 3 amazing verses. The album that was in dire need of a hook just 2 songs ago is nourished with a great one. The Runners, DJ Nasty & LVM hook up to provide a really ear catching beat. Money on my mind should be an instant favorite to a non hater. Wayne brings the Cash Money "Money Over Bitches" anthem back with a dope song.

Notable Lines:

"Steppin out the motherfuckin car they in awe
I'm lookin like a star bitch when you see me make a wish"

"Dear Mr. Toilet I'm the shit
Got these other haters pissed cause my toilet paper thick                <<<<<<< SICKNESS
I know but trip and that forty make a chip
Out a potato head wimp then like ranch I dip"

"Get key money from a quarter blame it on my wrist
I whip coke like hoes nigga I'm a pimp
Lil nigga bout to rape the market
If we talkin bout money baby now we talkin"

"Nigga get it in a slump if you know how
In the heart of the summer we need a snow plow
What you know bout that baby its showtime
Coke transactions on the phone we call it blowjob"
