on the real though, at santa monica by the beach where I last hung with Bundy and Rik, there's this place called 'cha cha chicken' that is seriously the best carribean food I've ever had.

WOW you know about Cha Cha Chicken. Pico and Ocean baby. hahaha I used to work around there, down the street in Venice area actually. but i'd go there at least twice a week for lunch. shit is so ridiculously bomb. 1/2 jerk chicken with plantains and spicy potatos. or the Chicken Quesadilla is fucking ridiculous too. their chicken enchiladas are hella good too.their watermelon juice is awesome too.. i love that place. its a pretty low key spot. i woulda never thought the food would be that good coming from a little spot like that.

but also try Abbots Pizza on Abbot Kinney , and they have a 2nd location on Pico/17th.

yeah i had coconut fried chicken and  spicy fries at cha chas, my homies had jerk chicken enchiladas, i tried that shit...was bomb

had the guava, watermelon juice, other juices

got the spinach quesadilla

yeah just ask them to throw in the chicken since its only listed as spinach on the menu, they add like $1 from what I remember. so its cool..

ive been dying to try their breakfast too, but they only serve it on weekend mornings till like 11am.

coconutfreid chicken is fucking delicious too, forgot about that one... although i prefer the jerk..

i always want to order enchiladas. but 2 is never enough to fill me up.. i can add more, but it just gets fucking expensive

also you DEFinitely have to try their mulato cubano, fucking awesome sandwich. they use the same shredded jerk chicken meat that they use in the enchilada, in like a crispy "roll" type of bread.

their soup is good too. i really dont think you can go wrong at this place.

theres actually two locations, both very close to CCC. I prefer the Santa Monica location, i just usually get better pizza when i eat there, but both are good. anyways the owner is from Queens, so he knows his shit. and i have a few friends that have moved out here from like jersey,brooklyn, etc and i always bring them there. once they get a taste of it, theyre floored and cant eat any other pizza out here. Abbots pizza has won so many awards, like their walls are covered with all their awards and shit... anyways its just fucking good, if you like CCC like i like CCC, you'll love abbots. Try to go on like normal lunch/dinner hours when they have fresh baked pizza, so it tastes the best. but the ingredients they use is all super fresh, the selection of pizza and creativity for some of them is just awesome, and the pizzas have bagel crusts.

but anyways to hit up the SM location, coming from CCC, just head east on pico until you hit 17th street, its right across the street from Santa Monica community college. probably takes like 5-10 minutes local from CCC.

and then the other location is the original one in Venice, from CCC, you head east on pico 1 block, make a right on Main St, go down like 1-1.5 miles, and then make a left on Abbot Kinney blvd.. go down like 8 or so blocks, you'll see this tiny pizza place on your left. its next to Abbots Habit, which is also a good sandwich spot.
