Theres also 2 funny things when it comes to judging 50 Cent:a) A new 50 Cent songs hit the airwaves. People are like "man, fuck 50, all he raps about these days is money, streets or bitches." Like wtf ? Are you stupid ? Ive been following his career since Jam Master Jay mixtapes and trust me, he hasnt rapped about anything else, not once. Its like all of a sudden, theyre expecting him to rap about the sun, earth, politics and so on. And when hes not, theyre all shocked.b) The best one. A new 50 Cent songs hit the airwaves. People are like "man, fuck 50, he sings on records." WTF again. Yet again, that has been his style since day ONE. And if you wanna blame anyone, blame Jam Mastwer Jay, because its him, that told him, to create a verse around the chours and not vice versa.
u know thats halariousif the album sounds really bad the first time around and you paid money for it....u just sit there and play the shit and FORCE YOURSELF TO LIKE THA SONGSu force your head to nod LMAO to tha shit if the shit is wack its wack period.. just admit it you admire 50
The new 50 Cent album sux bigtime! Haven't heard the dirty version yet but the clean version still gives you a good idea of the albumand I gotta say this is worse than The Massacre. It's really shitty, 50 has gone from bad to worse. I just hope Graduation will outsell Curtisthe first week so we don't need to hear another 50 Cent album ever again!
The album is not bad for a faggot.
Please dont compare Games stardom to 50s. Eminem you can and yes he did cam correct after SSLP but times were very different back then.50 had the street single Wanksta playing in every "hood", In Da Club will go down as one of the best club tracks in history, song was played EVERYWHERE. Then there was 21 Questions, an rnb anthem, then there was P.I.M.P., not to mention If I Cant. He sold 6 mill in USA alone, with having on of the lowest 2nd week drop in history, built his own company, put his homeboys on the scene, several ventures, films. 50 Cent happens every 10 years.Game had a street single that didnt create any special buzz, had a nice hit with How We Do but still nothing outstanding, Hate Or Love It is probably his biggest joint and even that wasnt "big", with both Dreams and Put You On The Game not doing anything special. He sold barely 2 mill in the USA. The Game happens every 2 years, maybe even 1 year. So, on the sophomore album 50 had to reach those 5, 6 mills again, which means a gigantic pressure, which means that a money driven label like Interscope demanding at least 4 very radio friendly joints (Cabdy Shop, Lil Bit, Dico Inferno, Build You Up and So Amazing), since his fanbase is now the whole world. So, on the sophomore album Game had to reach those 1,2 mills again, which aint anything outstanding, which means that a money driven label like Interscope demands like 1 or 2 radio friendly singles (Wouldnt Get Far and Around The World). Now you'll say "you cant blame Interscope". Yes, 50 is also to blame for being pimped by the industry and only seing the dollars but you cant tell me that thats not the truth. Check the "faboulous" Bustas I Love My Chick.
Man you can argue that 50 was never backpackin' with his lyrics and shit, but they used to be significantly better nevertheless. He actually had some witty and/or clever lines back in the day, not some shit that was just random. That said, on tracks like Places to go he didn't have outstanding lyrics, but his flow was something else. That hasn't been the case since after GRODT, excluding a few exceptions like his verse on "Never enough". And that's real talk nigga.
