i was actually just listening to the shins latest album and it's not whack at all like heads were saying. it's more produced but the songs call for it. i actually am really really feeling alot of songs on there. phantom limb and red rabbits especially.

Yeah its still a good album in my opinion but i prefer the low-fi'ish sound of their first 2 albums more than them sounding like every other indie band.

my favorite is chutes too narrow and as much as I like it, I think it sounds like alot of indie bands

oh inverted world is pretty damn produced, it just sounds more Beatley whereas Wincing sounds more like the smiths

I still dig The Shins, I think their style changed a little bit, but they are still putting out good music. Kenna is pretty good, it's not necessarily rock, because all of the digital production from The Neptunes, but I still think it's really good music.

I propped you twice for that Kenna album you pmed me. I couldn't respond in the inbox because my shitty computer won't load that page for some reason.

"Right Now" by Van Halen is the only rock song that's not complete trash.

Whatever respect I had left for you has now been flushed down the toilet. No way have you listened to every hip hop song ever recorded yet you have listened to Van Halen. Shame on you.

Its pretty cool. Its More out of my taste than his first album but still good. "Out Of Control" and "Baptized In Black Light" are great.

I'm listening to alot of Lou Reed solo stuff lately. Dudes made some of the best songs i've ever heard.

Sweet Jane(Cowboy Junkies version is great also)
Temporary Thing
Take A Walk On The Wild Side
NYC Man
The Kids
Kill Your Sons

fucking bad ass

Yeah, Lou Reed and Velvet Underground was pretty cool, definitely different style. I remember I first heard him, The Grateful Dead, and a bunch of other shit like that when my step-dad would play it, and I wasn't sure about it.
Also, just about anything by Tom Petty or The Who is pretty damn good.

if you like Lou Reed you really gotta fuck with Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Devendra Banhart all of which were either influenced by or directly influenced Lou Reed

not that i'm hating on dude cause to each his own but it's hilarious that when abdul infinite finally gives rock a chance it's some Van Halen. who starts with the 80s? I guess hip hop, arguably.
