hellrazor, you are THE biggest fruit i swear gettin' all pissy pants about anthything negative about bone, in your eyez they can do no wrong...maybe they got long hair like him , but they ain't perfect...they aint' Jesus, at least tha7th knows reality

WTF?? When did I ever say they could do no wrong?? I think everything they did 97' and earlier is classic/near classic. Ive already admitted that they aint made a classic since, and the 3rd Mo Thug albums was garbage, Flesh's second solo was very average, The Collection Vol.2 was average, Layzie's album was very average, and BTNHresurrection was good but coulda been much better. I dont see how you can call that dickriding. But you act like Dre is the greatest thing ever. The mothafucka dont even write his own rhymes for godsake.

Layzie's album is NOWHERE near AOW, and thats A GENERAL CONSENSUS. Go to any board, Bone related or not, and 9 outta every 10 people will tell you that AOW kills Layzie's album. None of the Bone solo albums can touch AOW, and the only ones that are even close are Krayzie's album and Bizzy's second album. But even those cant fuck with AOW. I played Layzie's album for about 2 weeks, and now I rarely play it. AOW still gets solid rotation in my stereo though, even 4 years after its release. Matter of fact, EITHER disc [Disc 1 or Disc 2, take your pick] individually is better than Layzie's album. Layzie's album was very repetitive, and most of the songs sounded the same. Creepin, E.1999 Eternal, AOW, Flesh's first solo, Krayzie's solo, both of Bizzy's solos, the first 2 Mo Thug albums, and Collection Vol.1 all shit on Layzie's album. Only Flesh's second solo, Collection Vol.2, and the 3rd Mo Thug album were worse.

Wow, what an intelligent post. I dont see how you can think Layzie's album is better than AOW. Funny thing is, I like about half the songs on his album, but the fact alone that its not even a group album almost automatically makes AOW better, and Lay coulda have came much nicer than he did. There were some standout songs like As The Rain, but the album lacked a concept and sounded just a bunch of songs thrown together. AOW was carefully worked on for almost a year, all the concept details were thought out, the production was better, and it was on this album were Bone matured lyrically.

Dont reply to this until you come up with something INTELLIGENT.

how can you say they matured lyrically when more than half of the lyrics are mid 90's rap cliches??

I dont know..... I'm probably one of the only few people who thought Art Of War was pretty tight too. It was a lil more laid back.... but I can still listen to the whole cd without skipping ANY songs. There worst cd ever IMO was "BTNHResurrection".

Art Of War aint Classic.... but it's still a tight album... definately not as bad as you make it sound. I thought it was better than Layzie's too. I still respect all your opinions though (ALOT of people didn't like it).....  I'm just sharing mines.

I have to agree with BigJake on this one. Now, Riveria, I havent heard all the albums that you think should be taken off Jakes list, but there are 3 VERY notable ones that you say arent classic, but ARE:

Outkast--Stankonia. This has almost literally bridged all music types together, and Kast is still on point lyrically. Best album of 2000.

Bone--E.1999 Eternal. This is a HANDSDOWN classic, and if you dont think so, well, you're in the minority big time. But then again, im in the minority on some of my opinions but I dont see how you cant think this is not a classic album. Its almost flawless from top to bottom.

GZA--Liquid Swords. Classic, easily. One of the best lyrical albums ever, and RZA's darkest production to date. Plus, like E.1999 Eternal, I dont skip any songs on this one. Hands down classic.

MMLP and SSLP have had an impact on hiphop.... whether it was positive or negative that is yet to be determined but EMINEM opened the door big time for white MCs to enter the game and actually get some sort of respect.... their def was white MCs before eminem but he opened the door for them to get some recognition and respect.....

Umm, dat list is all good and everythin, but E.99 Eternal waz left out by accident i hope. Theres so many reasons 4 dat album 2 be a classic, dont make me repeat everythin again.

And Stankonia and Gza were both classics also. No doubt.

Also Too Short's Life's too short aint up there either,
Be real man, dat shit is stright up classic.

It aint ur oppinion, It's a HIP HOP classic. ::)
