watching MTV itself is irrelevant. MTV generation= to put it simply, we are all up in the lives of celebrities/artists in an even more pervasive way then we have ever been. it's called 'voyeurism'. A dude like B.I.G. couldn't blow up in todays music business because his Cribs appearance, behind the music special, dating show appearance, etc. would not be as succesful as a sexy star you know? an artists status in the biz has nothing to do with talent anymore when as recently as the 90s, cats like Biggie proved it did.

yeah, having a fact about a person is like having a line memorized off an album. it's not the whole picture.

Let me clarify. I didn't say he wanted to be on top. I'm saying he wants to put out an album - and most likely it will DESERVE to sell enough to put him on top.

by saying i havent watched tv in 3 years, im really saying i dont put any energy into getting to know an artist/actor or whatever as a person, im simply not interested, and i dont watch anything else on tv cause its a fucking waste of time
