I took my car in because it was pulling a little to the right.  I asked them to check it out and see if maybe the alignment was messed up.  They came back and told me they couldn't see anything else wrong so that it must be the alignment.  Finally, like three hours later they came back and said that it was my tires.  They said they switched the tire from one side to the other and they found that now the car pulled to the left.  I asked the guy which tire I needed changed, he said "the right".

They gave me a work order for the alignment and I paid 50 dollars.  I drove away in my car and it felt strange leaving and my car was just as bad as when I had brought it in.  I felt like, "why the hell did I pay them when they didn't do anything."

I went back and I asked them, "are you sure it's the right tire I need changed when the car is pulling to the left?"  This time, a different guy gave me a different answer, he said, "you better see a specialist, it could be any of the tires."

Then I was really pissed.  I argued with them and asked for my money back.  I said any business is supposed to fix a problem.  A customer has a need, or a problem, and the business provides a solution; if the problem is still there, then why would a customer pay?  So finally, they gave me the money back?

Was that wrong to ask for my money back?

Since I took my car in to get it fixed, and I left with the car in the same condition, shouldn't I be able to get my money back?

Wtf man they should've told u that in the first placce. they knew what they were doing.
I dunno man that sucks cuz im looking at the hood of my car that got repainted because i got into an accident and now that shits starting to peel. And the original paint is still good but the brand new paint on the hood is peeling. That makes me mad cuz i felt like they got me. But nah i don think you were wrong for asking your money back. if the dealers weren't so damn expensive id take it to them but whatever

They should have asked you about your tires right off the bat.  If your car was in there, and they spent time looking at it, they can charge you.  Time is money.

If they gave you your money back, then they obviously noticed that you realized that they were tryna rip you off. Don't let mechanics fuck you.

this happen to me twice with my car when i got into an accident and another time when someone damaged my car on purpose.  both times were for different reasons the 1st because they left it pretty much left the car the same and the 2nd is they fucked up my electrical wiring inside the car.  since both times my insurance was involved and i only had to pay for the deductible for the accident which was $250 i made sure i got my car in perfect condition before i even took it home.  when i notified the body shops i wasn't pleased with the work i called my insurance and told them i would give the body shop the check anyway but i would inform the Better Business Bureau of the type of service i received.  i called the body shops told them if they didn't fix my shit to perfect condition i would file suit with the Better Business Bureau and immediately they told me i could take the car back in.  But i said fuck that!  you had my car for a week and a half and still i have to deal with bullshit i just took it to BMW (since i have warranty for 10 years) and they fixed it the car twice each time was a different time and then sent both body shops a bill.

bottom line let 'em know you're not fuckin around inform the better business bureau

I never heard of the better business bureau, tell me more.

Anyway.  I took my car to a different place, got new tires, and some other stuff, it ran me 350.  Then they still said I needed an alignment, so I had to go to another place and get a 70 dollar alignment and they said the first place couldn't have given me an alignment, and I shouldn't have paid.  So it's a good thing I got my money back.

go to there site depending what state your in they have different locations.  like for example if you're in so cal they have a headquarters there and you could either go in, call or file a report over the net.
