You're comparing T.I. with Pimp C? I believe you're a good kid, but you admire this guy too much... I mean... T.I. still has a long way to go to be as influential and important as Pimp C before he went to jail

Pimp C may be a good rapper & a very influential figure in the south, but popularity in form of record sales has to also be taken into account, and when was the last time Pimp C or UGK sold as much as T.I.'s last 3 albums??

T.i. has proven over the last few years that his fan base is damn solid & strong..T.I. vs. T.I.P. didn't even have any groundbreaking singles (in terms of success) and boy is already platinum.

it would be crazy to say he'll come back in 7-8 years and still be on top..but if dude gets the minimum 5 year sentence if convicted on all charges, he'll serve 4 the most, and his career will be just fine

I completely agree C is a legend, pioneer and veteran. I was using Pimp C because he's the first southern artist that comes 2 mind that recently finished a pretty long prison stint, came out of jail, and resumed his career to a decent extent. I see that for T.I. if he faces 7-8 years (assuming he'd want to continue his career at about 35-37).

true..from my understanding, I heard they postponed the bail hearing until Friday for other reasons and not necessarily "denied him bail" but just thought it'd be more appropriate to wait until Friday before making that decision

true. But certain artists just don't go away no matter what there coast is doing & how active it is (look at snoop & game). I think T.I. is that kind of rapper 2 the south (hot heads relax, i'm NOT trying 2 compare him to snoop or game)

If he comes out in 7-10 years, I think he'll be decent. If he comes out in 3-5, he'll be even better...gonna be near impossible to be at the status he is right now though

They just said on BET that 10 years is the most he can face if convicted, and i doubt he'll see maximum sentencing (10 i believe that is)

When you are out of the public's eye for a long time, it extremely hurts you. Especially in the ever changing world of hip hop were an artists shine usually only lasts several years (on the average).

By being "in" the only time you will see T.I. (if he gets a long sentence) is when The Source does those "Rappers In Jail" issues every 6 months...
