Doesn't surprise me. Kind of like Norah Jones in the sense she is very versitile in singing and instruments so alot of people appreciate how well rounded she is in music. She don't need a band or a producer, she is all that in one.

When you've got a rep like she does, people will buy your music regardless.  Too bad 95% of Hip Hop today thinks the only way to sell records is gimmick, hype, and shameless promotion every chance they get.

Good for A. Keys.  She's one of the very few artists that have come out within the last 5 years that will be making incredible music for DECADES to come.  She's a genius.

Promo was NOT limited. 2 days after the video premiered online, I've already seen it on 4 different music tv channels. That's crazy, I've never seen that before, it usually takes at leat 2 weeks for a video to start spinning. Not to mention that she was all over various MTV channells hosting shows or being interviewd.

I agree they are both great artists and have IMO a much larger fan base because they can span across different genres.  I haven't heard Alicia's album yet but from the songs that I've heard so far it's sounds like it will be amazing.
