what are musts from the west this year?
« on: November 22, 2007, 06:01:04 PM »
the only albums i got around to checking this year were dogg chit and back b4 you're lonely. i also wanted to cop sick jacken/muggs album and guilty by affiliation and digital smoke(that get it track bumps).

what's most urgent? i need to catch up. i keep saying i'm going to cop albums that come out but i never get around to going and copping them and basically just listen to my older albums i already have.

^^^^^
THE TRUTH!!!
Add the free podcasts from Khayree on itunes then you're set.
The only album you HAVE to buy from 2007 is WC's.
There's a couple of average albums like Soopafly's and the RBX album if you got extra cash to spend.

Yeah WC dropped a fucking solid album.  I also really liked "Digital Smoke," that's definitely worth buying, and so is Tangled Thoughts/Kurupt "Philly 2 Cali."

WC's album is the best release this year, and the best westcoast album in the last 2 years. Buy that, you'll be listening to it for months. Try "Sunday School" if your a Suga Free fan, a great release from him. He don't need Quik.

the number one album that u should get out of whats been said, is DJ Muggs vs Sick Jacken album.

Trust me that album can be considered a classic a couple years from now.

No lie, i listened to the whole album like an hour ago for the 50th time.

If u want a dope underground album thats dark, then this is it.  Its a crazy ass album wit dope beats and lyrics.

Its been getting great reviews everywhere.

For sure u should check it out.

all i got to say is that the blu and exile album is probably one of the closest a west coast album has ever got to reaching a classic status in the past 8 years. its RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. cats from LA but he aint rappin about ignorant shit. this type of music is going to revolutionize the LA hip hop scene.

you need to cop:

Mistah F.A.B. - Da Baydestrian
Messy Marv & Mitchy Slick - Messy Slick
J. Wells & Kurupt - Digital Smoke
WC - Guilty By Affiliation
Mr. Criminal - Ryder Muzik (check califarap.net to order)
and probably Big Squeeze, it has a few dope cuts and is listenable all the way through

Only 2 albums worth getting (from the West) this year

Suga Free
WC

all the rest was mediocre at best. I can't believe people write Dogg Chit as a must.
