I got my Fixxers "The Street Masterpiece" mixtape in the mail today

I just got my "Fixxers Mixtape" which is very very disappointing, it has nothing new besides the last two tracks from Kay L. No new songs, no no remixes as advertised. I guess the only good thing out of this, is that it's signed by Quik & AMG. But again, I'm kinda pissed since I've been waiting awhile to recieve this and it had nothing new. The Masterpiece Intro is pretty sick though, it's a 1min mix of a bunch of Quik intrumentals. Sorry if there's already a thread on this but I didn't see one, just thought I would let ya'll know.

FUCK   I still didn't get my copy, but now I don't give a shit.  I thought they said there was new material on it?  That's fucking gay.  I was anticipating this shit for weeks.

Yeah, I mean I was expecting some old songs when it said over 30 tracks, but not the whole damn mixtape. Like I said the Masterpiece Intro is pretty tight, but it doesn't make up for the whole mixtape. Oh well, what can you do. At least it's signed by Quik.

Oh btw, it's in a slim case with one page cover (tracklisting on the back), and it's a cd-r not a real cd.

are the tracks mixed continuously? like can i just put on the mixtape and hear a really good quik mix, that actually flows, or is each track pretty much on its own..

We've had some good street albums/mixtapes lately.... Terrace's "Signal Flow", Malone's "The Electric Chair", Bishop's "Caltroit"... I can see why people would be anticipating this. Whenever I came close to ordering this, I just kept getting the feeling that I should hold off until more word about the CD came in. I'm glad someone else tested the waters first.

That's true, but I just ordered it for my Quik collection. I have all his cd;s, might as well add this to the collection. It's not like I was expecting all 30 tracks to be new, I ain't that stupid. But I was expecting at least 2-3 new songs, some unreleased songs, and some remixes like advertised, not a bunch of songs that's been out for years. Eitherway, it is what it is, so whatever. I was mostly disappointed cuz of how long I've been waiting to get it.

Yeah, all the tracks are mixed continuously, each track is like a min or two, mostly just Quik's verses. I mean it's a pretty tight mix of old shit, lol.

Yeah, all it has is a cover with the tracklisting on the back. But like I said before, the best thing about is that it's actually signed by Quik & AMG.
