The only music I ever listened to before Hip Hop was pure Michael Jackson. The greatest musician to ever live!

I first started listening to bands like Nirvana, Korn, Silverchair and other hard rock/heavy groups about 5-6 years ago. Then later on I started listening to other alternate bands like Limp Bizkit & Grinspoon and mainly just listened to alternate music. Then 'bout 3 years ago, I was given Wu-Tang's - 36 Chambers to listen to. I liked it and that's when I first started to get a feel for Hip Hop music. Ever since then I've been listening to Hip Hop, but I still listen to a wide variety of music genres. Hip Hop, Alternate, Dance, RnB & some commercial.

i was brought up listening to Hendrix and Zeppelin as thats what my parents saved from the 60's. I then went onto Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana following Nevermind, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and The Black Album. i also got into australian rock/ alternative like Grinspoon, Jebediah and The Living End and the classic AC/DC. tho i love rap, rock and grunge will always be number 1 to me.

lol.....I listened to Jazz before I got into the other stuff. Then my parents bought some ''Hardcore Rap mixtape'' or somethin', that's when I heard NWA. I didn't really start getting into it until ''Doggystyle'' came out. Ever since then I've been hooked.
