Thats insane. Last year, artists were debuting at at least 70-80,000 and i thought that was bad  :o

I think a lot of it is how big of a draw these artists are. Wyclef is big but had that one single that didn't quite make it for "Sweetest Girl", and the rest haven't ever been known for selling that much, with the exception of Scarface. Very little promotion for any of these, it's looking like rapping isn't the way to make money anymore.
I got a bird's eye view

thats awful sales seeing as Scarface is king of the south. s.
^True..but Remember Face is frm the South..but his music style is different from majority of Southern Kinda Music!!
So it may take awhile for folks outside his fan-base to check in On Dude!!
But ti's still early!!
Rootin For FaceMob!!

Yeah Rap-A-Lot is notorious for lack of promo. Die hard fans will buy Face but I don't see too many others supporting it. Sad but true.

Wu doesnt even have much off a buzz here in NY anymore I doubt they will pass 100k first week but you never know the album is dope, Ghost did similar numbers last year with his 2 releases

yeah your right the first one did better I think it was released about the same time TI came out with King, the 2nd one got lost in the shuffle last December with all the other hip hop releases by Def Jam that month

the 60.19% means sales have been counted in 60.19% of the stores which are considered in Soundscan sales numbers ...  once again it doesn't mean if your album is gonna sell 200 k if you are at 100k 50% in ... if the sales between 0-50% are mainly coming from Eastcoast stores, it's kinda obvious Ghostface will sell more than between 50%-100% where the sales came from South- WC stores .. that's a very simplified example but that's the logic behind the calcul ..

numbers are final

Scarface did 63,595. I'd say that's pretty decent for him 8)
Drama did 50,945. Also pretty good considering his album had NO mainstream buzz
Wyclef did 42,257. Better than it looked at 1st
Ghostface did 37,633
Styles P did 30,475
