it's fuckin sick man!! unfortunately we are still awaiting a version with no dj drops, but skee isn't as bad on this 1 like some other dj's are on they own tapes.

For me, this the tape that really really got me into Lamont. Shit had it all. Creativity, Meaning, Character, Bangers, and so on.

I rated each song the other day outta 5 and did the math to figure out my rating lol. I gave it a 9.5/10. I know that's quite higher than most will give it, but that's how i felt on a song to song basis.

Somethin to jus relax to, bump it & PAY ATTENTION

Hmm, i don't get that.  To me he's really bringing something unique to the game that no one else can right now.  He makes thought provoking music that, while very deep at times, is still hilarious and just so relevant to today's society.  That, on top of the fact that he's got almost all of the best producers in hip-hop in his corner, makes him someone that i can't see getting topped anytime soon.

Up until yesturday, Bishop lamount was very average to me.  His voice sounds boring, his songs are usually boring or very average (even when he gots the best producers in the game).  He hadnt made nothing to make me think otherwise.  His music is just average.

But then yesturday i was checking out the pope mobile mixtape.  And i realized that he gots potential.  Even though he still making wack songs like "Sumthin","So Sad","Personal Chauffer" and a bunch of other ones on his other mixtapes.......

Then i listened to the other songs on this mixtape like "I always knew", "all i dream",  "Music Shit".....and these songs made me realize that Bishop can actually make dope music, even though he comes out wit a bunch of wack songs, he still makes real dope ones.

And since Dre is backing him on his album, im expecting a dope ass album from Bishop.  Sure his mixtapes may seem average...but i feel his album is gonna be packed wit dope tracks.

Hopefully is really is a dope album and it dont dissapoint.

Yes very true, but i just feel like he makes really boring music, there all average at best, and his voice is really boring, he doesnt have a really good flow, he needs to work on that, even though hes got a handful of bangin songs, hes got double the wack songs lol, i dont know, hopefully his album comes out dope, to me right now hes alright but i dont hate on him, hes got some meaninful shit out there!!!

Wow, took the words right out of my mouth. In the end, I think that most westcoast fans are still stuck in the 90's. Everybody on this forum says they want DPG, Warren G, RBX... on Detox and that they rap about chronic, lolo's, impalas.... Fans complain how Westcoast ain't doing shit, yet they always want the same blueprint from a westcoast rapper.

So, when somebody says his music is average is plain wierd to me. I understand that you don't like his voice or the way he flows but his music is everything but average from the basic subject matters of the songs.

Ye you're pretty much right, Bishop is unique in a modern way of hip-hop.

And I actually think his voice and flow are some of his great qualities.

Especially his flow on these songs are incredible to me;

Bishop Lamont - First They Love You (Ft. Prime & Indef)
Bishop Lamont & Black Milk - Goatit (Ft. Phat Kat & Elzhi)
Bishop Lamont, Prime, Indef, Friday, Oowee & Dee Brown - The Listening Pt I
Bishop Lamont, Rass Kass & Poison Pen - Ragaytone
Taje - The Truth (Ft. Bishop Lamont, Treck Life & DJ Rhettmatic)
Evidence - All Said & Done (Ft. Bishop Lamont)
Macadoshis - Hustle Hard (Ft. Eastwood & Bishop lamont)
Nune & Shade Sheist - Lights Out (Ft. Bishop Lamont & Stat Quo)
Scipio - Gob Stoppers (Ft. Indef & Bishop Lamont)
Tha Alkoholiks - Hangover (Ft. Bishop Lamont)
O. Brown & B-Real - L.A. (Ft. Bishop Lamont)
Noni Spitz - Holy Trinity (Ft. Bishop Lamont & Dub-O)
