Bin Ladin was a sickly man 6 years ago when he bombed NYC, he had kidney problems and was on Dialisis... he's likely been dead for years.  His ideas and followers still live on, and always will.   Maybe not in his name, but he said things that a lot of people agreed with.  There was nothing magical about Bin Ladin, there will always be somebody of his nature stepping up and representing that voice.

It's basically undetermined whether or not he's made any videos or tapes in several years.  He likely had doubles like Saddam, looked different last time there was a video, etc.
