I feel about 10X more white trashy, but I gotta admit, I had fun watching it tonight. The interview parts were akward and boring, but it was fun watching it. Used to love that shit when I was a kid.
So you disagree with me? Big fuckin' surprise there. Couple things.Wasn't the voice over guy on the original show? Also, there was a part, lesse if anybody else can find this, or heard it. They were getting ready to do the eliminator thing or whatever the fuck it's called, and it was when the girl in blue who was kind of hot, blonde about 35 or so was doing it. Hulk said something to her, then the next 8 or 9 seconds was a voice over, done by Hulk, over the phone to fill in something they must have not wanted aired. You could tell that they had recorded his voice over the phone and laid it over that piece of the tape, in the middle of the conversation he was having with the white chick.

Thay was not the point of his post. He said some people (um, him). He was just pointing out a distraction for him when watching the show. I think we both think the show needs some work. That was the point of my post, and I think it was the point of his. I don't see the disagreement.Truama thinks people are watching for Hulk and you don't AKA a disagreement

What it comes down to is, like you said, the ratings are through the roof so I wouldnt' do shit if I were them. Plus i'm saying that if Hogan gets better at doing his job, the show will likely get better. The first show in particular was just goofy and he was over the top, it was a bit jarring to me, even though I'm a big Hogan fan. I'll try to explain it better...I love Hulk Hogan, always have, always will... I'm a HUGE fan. When I watched American Gladiators, though, the "Hulk" element was that he basically was just kind of cut into the show, he didn't necessarily belong there, and on the other hand his only presense was saying half-ass one liners that even for him weren't very good. The wrestling element is gone, so it leaves only parts of his persona on the show, and it was just kind of sloppy, it didn't fit well with the show. So my point was, what's the point of having him there, it's not a great fit... when you see Hulk Hogan you want to see the wrestling atmosphere, him threatening to kick somebody's ass or getting beat up, or running in for the save, lol or something! It's one of the reasons his movies never do that well, he's a very stereotypical character and without the wrestling atmosphere, you can't keep pigeonholing him into doing his shtick because it won't work without the wrestling. Now on the second show, he kind of gelled a little better with his host duties, and I think he's talented enough and charismatic enough that maybe he can pull it off, but my original thought was that he wasn't a good fit for the show, because his wrestling persona and ego is too large for the limited position they're putting him in. It would make more sense for him to do a show where he was coaching people, or giving advice, or whatever instead of just standing there and doing stupid one liners. NOBODY is interested in seeing Hulk Hogan interview somebody.... but at the same time, how fucking cool would it be to see Hogan interview Vince McMahon in a run up to a match at the Royal Rumble or something? The wrestling element would be there so it would be interesting. For this to be a 'reality' show and then have Hogan be a big cartoon character just doesn't make much sense to me.
