actually the most popular sport is basketball, if you count all active players ... but fotball takes the second spot...

actually......soccer is first.....B-ball is #1 in U.S. but in the world........
soccer is the #1 popular sport......

I live in the U.S and I love Soccer.

And yea soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Kids in mexico that are poor, get newspaper and they make a big ball and they put tape around it.  And they play a game of soccer, lol they never do that shti for B BAll

true... i'm west indian and i grew up calling it football but since i been in Cali i got used to calling it soccer

it's fact that football or soccer as everyone here is callin it is the richest sport in the world (ie it raises more money altogether in a week than any other sport in the world)

and may i just add that manchester united (my team) are the richest football club in the world! the richest of the richest sport, ppl like bez and ppl who r really into football should know i aint lyin its actually a fact, i aint braggin and this isn't the reason i support them i just wanted to throw in that my team JUST HAPPEN to be the richest club of the richest sport!

and just 2 prove that aint why i support em i supported them all my life cos me brother got me into them, i didn't find out this FACT until about 5 years ago.

yeah thats true maybe i tryed to prove myself to much...98 he's right!

and as for the fans...i aint a usual glory huntin fan believe it or not...if they don't win a match i don't make excuses i admit if they played shit...and if they don't win tha premiership (like they aint doin this season) then i'll admit that i think they aint got a chance and that it's been a shit season...i don't make excuses like sum of me friend duz...

and everyone says utd fans are like that....but i know plenty liverpool fans who r the same anyway, and fans of many other clubs who r the same 2!

I mean Liverpool and United are the only teams from England that are really HUGE in terms of support

Like in business there will always be successful outfits like United, Liverpool, Arsenal and there will always be mediocre, unsuccessful failures like Carlisle, Halifax and Bolton.
