"Started" is his best IMO, he blacked out

http://www.zshare.net/audio/57577420f1ac1a/

Probably his best solo cut IMO.

yeah I can't think of a track where he spit 3 verses of heat like that, maybe "Game" would be close

True, Game is fire too. We Can Freak It for a party/club track was lyrical too.

"Streetz" is the better overall album but I think lyrically his best was "Kuruption", he killed alot of tracks on there

Yeah I think he was more on point on TSIAM. More lyrical on more tracks on KuruptionThat album had some lyrical gems too. I remember the first time I heard Trylogy. I was like the beat was on some other shit but once his verse kicked in it was curtains.

he's got quite a few legendary verses.... here's one of my favorites.... "What Cha About"

Life without money - that's like breathin' with no air
Prepare, there's no love in warfare, engage
I'll make the front page, like Nicholas Cage
And get served, front and center stage
I'm breakin' through, throw up your teflon barriers
And get penetrated, teleconnetic superior
Hostile, verbal apostle in 3D, hittin' every galaxy throwin' up D.P.
Now I could be quick as a cheetah
And rip through ya shit like a motherfuckin' wild hyena
From the city where lights shine bright at night
Emcees is unique when speakin' upon the mic
From L.A. to the city of Phil' (Phil')
When you approach Kurupt approach with skills
Cause if you don't you'll get shook - and broken
Nigga I rock it and break it open

You servin' me? (hell nah) I think not
That's facin' a blizzard in a fuckin' tank top
I took trips from New Jers' to Cape Cod
You could be adventurous up againt tremendous odds
And face a poltergeist, I'll bring it to ya nice
I had the whole scenery surrounded like the vice
Who could it be comin' through in all blue? (Who?)
Dogg Pound Gangstas - number one, number two
Never evade the principle, the top principle
Up against the top invincible, rhyme assassin
I lay the cards on the table, take a pick
The wrong choice'll get your whole chest cavity split (ahh!)
That's when all the bullshit ceases
His whole frame and format crumble right before his eyes into pieces
Fake ass assassin with no heart, no mind
No money, no hoes, no flows and no rhyme
Waitin' for the poetical Satan
Creatin' slaughters, runnin' through camps like Walter Payton
I'm all about money makin', and not makin' mistakes
You're only worth what you create in a garden of snakes
Now all I can do is survive, and stay alive
Money 'til I motherfuckin' die
Stranded on the Row, I'm in this motherfucker to grow
And make fetti like I'm sittin' on a mountain of snow

those are tight, same verses he kicked on that Heltah Skeltah/DPG track

I'd say for those that think currently Kurupt fell off, listen to They Don't Want It. God damn that track knocks.

I have to disagree with the opening post, or any post that mentions a song he recorded after leaving Death Row.  The reason I say this, is because, if you look at "On Onsite" or "Callin Out Names" (two songs mentioned above) Kurupt is using all these bigwords that rhyme, but don't really belong in the verse, or add meaning to the verse... kind of like Ghostface's loose association style.

In my opinion, these are Kurupts greatest lyrical appearances....

1.  "New York, New York"-  At the time, alot of people were saying the West Coast weren't real emcee's, that they didn't have lyrics, and all this bullshit, so the Kurupt beat them all at their own game.. and the video ofcourse, added the ultimate exclamation point with them taking over New York and knocking down biuldings.  It was the ultimate statement of West Coast dominance over the East.  The good old days.

2.  "For All My Niggaz and Bitches" - Off Doggystyle.... when Kurupt says... "Now who's jokin/ Rakim never joked/ so why should I loc?... Now that's my idol..."  Kurupt is just going off, and his intensity on the mic is unmatched.

Kurupts greatest lyrical performance

Fresh 8)

How long could the war last on a warpath?
We're still heat nigga, still signing autographs
Still hitting the stash, and pulling pistols out to dash
The poetical poltergeist, verbal Jerry Rice
Fuck the ice, give me a mic and let's see who's the nicest
I fuck around and cause a crisis
with preciseness, and precisely this
See we make the shit that precisely hits.
So how soon could you pump up the volume
Hand you your ends and pump up my album
Get yours, I cause a fucking holocaust
I'm out to get mine, get yours, snatching anything yours
Cock back and aim, blasting anything
Tha Dogg Pound gang, where all the G's hang
It's impossible not for that ass to end up in a hospital
G-R, Gang Related, and we are

I spit poison, poisonous darts
I aim, bomb and charge
One rhyme will hold your pose and stop your heart
Stop to talk, start to walk, and never walk again
Legs broken, just played loc, zoning broke and crushed
touched, bust open, get hit like the four winds
Up against four assassins, the four horsemen of rapping
I gotta pinch my self to make sure I ain't dreaming
'Cause I just saw the homie bring an M-16 in
I fade in to see how Baby sparks
No ifs, ands or maybe's, Baby barks
Turn on the daylight, pitch black thoughts
I pitch back sparks when the get back starts
This is it, we're 'bout to show you how to do shit
DPG completely, running through shit

Supa dupa, said you was seductive, psycho psychotic, psycho somatic
Psycho's with automatics, the aftermath with the poetical psychopath
And I might go slow, and I might go fast, and I might go first
Then I might go last, thinking I might not bust
And I just might just blast
Or I might just whoop the skin of your ass, if you cross or pass
You know I'm the rawest MC with it
Fuck jiggy nigga, I'm DP with it
I bring the bombstrike, like the motherfucking pentagon
Napalm verses disperses to all the mental gone
Mack 10-ing dunn, separating ligaments
Tear them in the zone in his leg, then bust his head
Keep busting till he's dead
D-A-Z with the bombest in the country, taking lead on the street
What you got, flame or some heat?
Do you incinerate, or make it hot,
are you Powerful, strong or weak?
All I know is I drop shit that cracks the concrete
