The trick is just a special method of mastering specifically processed for the purpose of mp3 conversion..
only certain mastering engineers know how to perform this process which boasts HQ sound through an mp3 file..

The volume level is lower than other shit I got from iTunes.

There is an extended intro and no gunshot version of "John Doe"
the version of JD on "IIOG" is "DJ Quik's Pick".. the mix he favored (MCA didn't).

What's different from the retail version? I don't hear it.

I think u were expecting too much of a dramatic difference and that's why you don't hear the subtleties in the mixes.

with "John Doe" there is a clear difference in the volume and clarity of the vocals.

To remix an entire song dramatically would mean to admit that the original mix was not up to par.. and that's not the case here..
so the differences in mixes may be only slightly noticeable. Some of these mixes literally only had one channel corrected, if that was all that was needed..

UK Tour is being scheduled for the month of Sept 09..
Germany Tour begins in February 09 and resumes in July 09..

but on the real.. it's 2 songs and the mastering process away from completion!

after MU I will release my 3rd and final G-Funk album "P.N.L.A."
..no im not retiring (yet).. but this will be the last of my long-title lps before moving on to new types of album projects.
