This album will again be overseen by Questlove and the Soulquarians with contributions from Black Thought and possibly Talib Kweli.  Production will be handled by Questlove with help from Jay Dee, No ID, DJ Premier and DJ Scratch...

The album will be something totally different from anything ever released in hip hop. ?uestlove says "It sounds like Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon plus David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust plus Prince Paul in a blender". Guest appearances include his Soulquarian crew [Erykah Badu, Bilal, The Roots, etc.] with production by ?uestlove, Jay Dee and James Poyser who all did work on his critically acclaimed gem Like Water For Chocolate.

The first single is produced by The Neptunes, featuring Maty J Blige.

Was wondering where WCV's thread was gone  ;D But yeah, this is some good news. Sounds like it's gonna be interesting, the influences make it sound like it's gonna be pretty eccentric and out there.

Oh, btw Incognito, nice pic again  ;D

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Sounds like a good album.  Ziggy Stardust was awesome, I hope he gets like that, that stuff was on a whole new level.  That album really hasn't had anything even remotely like it made, so I'd like to see what they mean by saying they're incorporating that style.  Very, Very strange and melodic album.

Common has changed the title of his forthcoming LP from Electric Circus to The Isness. Also, before The Isness drops, you may want to check out Risky Bizness’ More Uncommon Classics Mix CD, I have been bumping it regularly for a week. While it has allot of hard to find gems on it, including an Alternate version of “Bitch In Yoo” with subliminal Fat Joe disses and three Common demo cuts, Uncommon Classics is worth the price alone just to hear the Common and Kanye West freestyle battle from 1996---peep the low blow Kanye delivers with a Sean Lett diss that even had Common laughing. - HipHopSite

Common has been one of my favourites since he released "Can i Borrow A Dollar", and everyone who listens to hiphop has gotta give major props to Common for "I Used to Love H.E.R.", but.............i am not completely feeling Common's transition to the neo soul sort of thing.  He was doper rollin with No ID.......don't get me wrong, Common's last album was great, it was just missing something.

As for Common's new album, it has already been confirmed that his first single is a joint ft. Mary J BLige produced by THE NEPTUNES.  The Neptunes have some bangin party starter beats, but i will puke if COmmon raps over one.  The beat better be more like the track the Neptunes did for Scarface.......

Come on.  Shit, is there anyone who hasn't sold out for a hit single with The Neptunes.  Common should be himself and keep makin music with ?uestlove & Soul Aquarians.  God dammit.

When is this album dropping?

Change of heart--- Common has re-shifted his LP title from The Iseness back to Electric Circus.

Not major news, but something anyways. :)
