Xbox 360 portablized, ruggedized and Ben Heckified into Pelican case
http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/24/xbox-360-portablized-ruggedized-and-ben-heckified-into-pelican/

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/5CoZ8i3O3qs&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/5CoZ8i3O3qs&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1</a>

It seems that our man Benjamin Heckendorn has elevated the laptop Xbox mod into something of an art form.
Remember the boxy white model that looked like a way outclassed Toshiba Portege (ca. 1995)? Or how about the sci-fi stylings of the Xbox 360 Elite laptop?
If you're looking for something a little more rugged, the newest addition to the menagerie sees the console mounted in a Pelican case.
The rest is the usual Ben Heck artistry:
17-inch widescreen LCD, speakers, top loading DVD-ROM, removable hard drive, USB and ethernet ports -- all set in brushed aluminum. And the best part?
This isn't a consignment job, so if you're going to be working on an Alaskan pipeline or find yourself shipping out with the military,
you might want to consider making an offer.

Eos Wireless' Converge system streams audio all over your home
http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/06/eos-wireless-converge-system-streams-audio-all-over-your-home/

Considering that Eos Wireless is introducing its Converge wireless audio system at Macworld, it follows logic that the press release is geared towards Apple kit.
So yeah, there's no question this stuff will stream jams from your iPod, iPhone, Apple TV or Mac to any room in the house,
but you should also know that the system plays nice with the anti-Apple (but pro-USB / auxiliary port) crowd as well.
It promises a wireless range of 150 feet, and it seems to be available in a variety of "Groups" depending on how complex or simplistic your home setup is.
Look for the components to ship in March for as low as $89.95 per piece.

Samsung shows MBP200 Pico Projector at CES
http://www.intomobile.com/2009/01/10/samsung-shows-mbp200-pico-projector-at-ces.html

Samsung has the MBP200 Pico Projector for mobile phones on display at CES. The pocket-sized device measures 107.3×48.8×19 mm and weighs only 160g! This is made possible using Instruments’ DLP pico chip, which we hope will be picked up by other manufacturers as well.

Specs wise, the Samsung MBP200 can project an image of up to 50-inches, and also features a 2.2-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) screen for private viewing, and a microSD card slot so you can playback video files directly from a memory card, without connecting the MBP200 to a mobile phone or any other source (i.e. camera or camcorder). In addition, there’s a standard 3.5mm audio port for connecting headphones or external speakers.

Boy do I want it! Samsung, however, hasn’t released pricing information nor exact release date. All we know is that it’s coming “later this year,” whatever that means…

Adapt MPJ-101 pico projector: tiny, cute, available
http://www.geekstuff4u.com/lcos-compact-led-projector.html

Go ahead, you can admit it: you're really, really into picos -- the best of us are.
Adapt's update to its pocket projector, the MPJ-101 -- which is nearly identical to the previous model -- shouldn't fill us with joy, but it does.
This little (125 x 55 x 23 mm) monster's got 1GB of built in memory, an SD slot, and two .5 watt speakers.
It projects up to 10 lumens of brightness at a resolution of 640×480 from around 6 to 50 feet.
All this excitement doesn't come cheap, though -- expect to shell out about a thousand bucks for this teeny bundle of joy. Oh boy.

AAXA pushes out P1 pint-sized pico projector
http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/12/aaxa-pushes-out-p1-pint-sized-pico-projector/

AAXA's recently rolled out a rather cute lil pico projector -- the P1 -- which boasts enough features to make it stand out from the pack, even if only slightly (there are so many to choose from these days). This half-pounder measures 2.3-inches wide and 4.1-inches long, and boasts a VGA resolution with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 12 ANSI lumens o' brightness -- making it a bit on the weak side. It's also got a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD slot, 1GB of internal storage and an on-board media player, with anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes of battery life. This puppy's available now for around $289.

Devotec debuts Solar Sound Bluetooth speaker system
http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/22/devotec-debuts-solar-sound-bluetooth-speaker-system/

Devotec Industries has mostly kept itself occupied with solar chargers and the like to date, but it looks to be branching out somewhat with its latest product, which appears to be one of the first solar-powered Bluetooth speakers to hit the market. Obviously designed primarily with portability in mind, the Solar Sound packs a pair of 2W speakers, along with a retractable 3.5mm cable to accommodate your non-Bluetooth devices, a built-in mic for some hands-free calling when paired with a phone, a nifty touch panel display, and a promised 8 hours of use from the internal battery (which recharges in 12 to 24 hours from the solar panel, or four hours via AC or USB). Sold? Then you can pick one up right now for $79.

Electrolux "Silence Amplified" vacuum with iPod dock and speakers probably sucks
http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/10/electrolux-silence-amplified-vacuum-with-ipod-dock-and-speaker/

Crazy huh? Sure, but if your company just launched a commercial vacuum cleaner so quiet that it's called the "UltraSilencer" then what better way to drive that point home than by adding an "iPod dock" (though that's no iPod we've ever seen) and speakers to the damn thing? In fact, Electrolux has taken this Silence Amplified concept so far that they've conducted a lab study to prove that "music assisted vacuuming increases the number of nozzle sweeps, improves the cleaning result and leaves a general feeling of happiness." Duh.

Manoi Go break-dancing robot

We've got no idea how this nugget of glorious mechanized dance snuck past us -- we'll blame it on the horror we experienced while watching Doka Harumi's robot dance routine. Another entrant in that same Japanese robo-dance contest, this red-blazered drone brings the pain, the funk, and all necessary accessories to rock your world. We're not kidding -- if you don't like this, you don't like technology. Skip past the break for not one, but two doses of that mind-altering video action.
