its an old school method where they strapped someone to a table, and set up a mechanism where a drop of water hit their forehead every few seconds, but not EVERY 2 seconds or 4 seconds, the amount of time that passes has to be different each time.  something about not knowing when the next drop is coming and a drop of water hittin ya head for a few days will drive a nigga crazy!
