Larry Bird chimes in...

Quote
while listening to the show full court press hosted by dee brown on sirius radio, larry legend said the following:

"Even though i want the celtics to win , i truly believe kobe was just feeling things out last night and shot poorly but, kobe will dominate & take over the rest of the finals".

bird's next interesting quote was:

"The nba asked me to do one promo which i did and i told them that i would not do anything else. while at the promo i told magic that we have to back off and become non visual so that the new guys can have their time."

looks like every Laker fan here is being real and just accepting that they were outplayed except for NIK,   dude your bias is unreal, no offense but it is disgusting.

The refs didn't help on some important possessions but for some reason we just stopped moving the ball in the 2nd half .. you have to give Boston D some credit but their D isn't better than SAS one .. it seems like Boston wanted this win more than us energy wise .. of course you have the crowd factor but I didn't have the impression we played with the same passion as we did in Utah or SAS .. weird imo

Do you think the week we have of relax influenced our lack of passion? I mean it hurts, imho. Phisically you feel better, but you loose the "momentum", you know what i mean?

nahh i think the lack of passion of play was caused by the 9PM time of ball tip off which disrupted the chemistry of the team cuz there in bed by this time j/k

phil jackson complained about playing "SO LATE"

yeah i think the lakers extended rest deinatley hurt there momentum, because there was no doubting that heading into the finals the lakers where the team to beat and with the most momentum. i think the lakers can play alot lot better even tho they were beaten by 10. they were leading by 5 at the end of the half and if some things went there way could of most definatley stolen this match.

the positives for the lakers is that they had no "great" contributions from there own big three but they were still there and there abouts heading into the 4th. so if they can play badly and narrowley miss then when kobe goes off boston needs to watch out.

i like what bostons defence was doing tho, if you noticed they wernt double teaming kobe at the top of the three point line. the double only came when kobe was near to the baselines, pretty effective trapping defence which requires the offence players to cut from the three point line towards the basket. this was an effective tactic and one with which the lakers will have to try and adjust too. also from the lakers point of view no player by kobe was taking it consistentley to the basket especially odom. the lakers need far better rebounding (with which they WILL struggle) and more free throws.

Radmanovic, Kobe, and now Odom all with 2 fouls a piece in the 1st quarter. Yeah the refs are fair, me and Nik are just crying over nothing.
