It's funny you said that, basketball had always been the most important thing in my life, my escape, back in 96-97, when my life started spinning out of control, I couldn't play without obsessing over shit, I wasn't injured but I always thought my back was fucked up or something, ball just didn't feel right anymore, I still played up to JV for my school, and we have one of the biggest highschools in Missouri, but basketball didn't feel right to me anymore, I couldn't escape my problems through ball, so music moved from the second most important, to the most important form of escape in my life. But now it's Islam first, then music, and ball is like somewhere far from 1.
