based on first impression of this, its pretty dope for a mixtape...production wise i would say this ranges from a few real dope dope joints....to mostly average and some wack....which is totally expected from a mixtape....I think there are some real standouts on this and pope mobile in terms of potential album material joints....BUT overall im glad that most this shit did NOT make the album...Having all this shit on here makes me have more faith in dre in terms of what album dre will drop in bishop in terms of production...i dunno about how bishop will come ofcourse but in terms of production im glad dre is making sure half this shit dont touch the allbum because some of the beats aint really all that...What i thought was bangin was AFRICA...DONKEY KONG and i thought the last joint...'the greatest trick' was pretty dope...nothing amazing beat wise but it was just a nice joint...Anyway i agree with a cat like dills....overall the production was average at best, i know cats like khalil and nott can come wayy better....who dissapoints me the most is focus, i made a post on this nigga a long ass time ago about how much potential he had and then he dropped 'feel on it' by bishop and instrumental wise the beat was heated and i was hoping he would move on from there but this niggas drum patterns have to be the cheapest in the game right now. I feel he has no bass at all in his beats and i could make a more 'high budget' sounded drum pattern with snapping my fingers...seriously, im a big fan of this nigga but he needs to work onhis drum patterns and get his 'focus' back. I used to clown eminem a long ass time ago for havin terrible drum patterns but that cat stepped his drum pattern game up but this focus really needs to work on that...sad to say cuz i always thought this nigga was sick!Anyway this is my first impressionso dont y'all get hurt...but i dunno...i'm glad theres goin to be ALOT OF DRE on his actual album if this is the type of beats he gon be gettin for his actual album...because id rather have dre workin with the sound atleast makin sure its professional and bangs than some average/amatuer shit on the albumm....and no i dont have way to high expectations...BUT i expect heat from bishops album because its comin with detox so obviously loads of work will be put into the album...right now if dre gets the production of refirmation better than documentary id be delighted...infact even its close to that level id be happy but i hope it dont sound like the average shit on here....Anyway there is some dope shit on here dont get me wrong but right now the ones im diggin more than anything are africa and donkey kong...they just instantly are friendly to my ears...and storch is obviously a professional dude so his shit always sounds clean...i think the stand out joints between the 4 mixtapes so far could make to be one SICK mixtape...lol...but i guess i cant really complain too much, all original music...all free...who does that all the time?...props and i still look forward to the album ;-)pz
