You can tell most people on this forum are fairly new to the eastcoast and they listen to a limited range of music.  Only this can explain no Eric b & Rakim, EPMD, Pete Rock & Cl, Gangstarr, Public Enemy, Ultramagnetic Mc's, KRS-ONE,etc, etc.  I mean the songs in the semifinals are great songs, but greatest of all time on the eastcoast?  Fuck that, nothing about them are innovative or groundbreaking, especially If I Ruled the World and Juicy (two of my fav's, but hardly anything new here.......hardly the best, strictly people's favourites).  The fact that Big Poppa can be in the semifinals when Big has at least 15 better songs sums up this vote..........peace ya'll, happy voting!

See, the eight songs that reached the quarter finals were those who were mentioned the most, so it's logical they're by artists alot of people listen to. Eric B, Rakim, EPMD, Pete Rock, Cl, Gangstarr, Public Enemy & KRS-ONE couldn't even all be in the semi finals at once. I bet there ain't too many people who think these four are the east's best four ever. Me neither. Plus if I could choose I'd make the final Life's A Bitch vs. C.R.E.A.M., Big Poppa and If I ruled The World ain't even in my NY top 20

My votes:
Big Poppa over If I Ruled The World
C.R.E.A.M. over Life's a bitch (fuckin hard choice)

this is kinda hard
but I'd say Big Poppa and I got a reason
its just that, that song is SO laid back, tight lyric,s of course Nas comes Raw with "if i ruled the world" also a classic, but i'd just say that when u heard "big poppa" its like "theres the classic"
but dont get me wrong i'd say both basically

then...
CREAM over Lifes a bitch
but damn those got their features their own way.both also but if i had to pick those are my answers

Wow, this is a nice poll.........very tough......

But If I Ruled The World vs. Big Poppa?? I gotta go with If I Ruled The World on this one....

Life's A Bitch vs. C.R.E.A.M.?? Very tough...............But I gotta go with C.R.E.A.M..........Deck's verse is just BEAUTIFUL.
