Gangsta Flicks
« on: March 24, 2002, 04:48:55 PM »
Recently I watched Scarface, Casino, Goodfellas, and Carlitos way. There was sooo much hype about all these movies, and I gotta say personally, I was kind of let down by all of them. Especially goodfellas. I liked Carlitos Way, but the others were just so long, and the plots I thought were pretty weak. I might get crucified for saying this, but I wanted to see what you all thought about these, and if there are any other gangster flicks worth watching. I'm hearin the Untouchables is really good, but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Scarface is the only one I really enjoyed. There's this new movie called Brother about the Yakuza and Omar Epps is in it which I thought was tight. I don't think you'd like the Triad made movies from Hong Kong that I watch. I think you watched all the good American gangster movies though.

I loved them all. Scarface and Carlito's Way were my personal favorites.

Those were the best gangsta movies so I think you were anticipating a little too much.

anyways bad ass, u from Indiana rite? cop Original Gangstaz with Jim Brown and Pam Grier, its based in Gary

i think scarface makes a cameo in it too

its not the greatest plot,

(in fact, when i watched this movie like 7 years ago, i remember one scene, where some dude throws a molotov at a house and u see mofos jumping out of the window before the dude even rolls up, talk about bad editing!)
