I admit ya'll. I've always been a big JD fan.

And still am.

Jermaine Dupri is mad talented.  He's got style, his beats, raps, are always on point, never sloppy, the only knock on him is that he's materialistic, but it ain't a lie, that's really the life he lives and has always lived, he grew up in the spotlight.

1472 was bangin Top to bottom.  And so I finally broke down and bought his new one and it's bangin from top to bottom.

I was a fan of Kriss Kross when they were out.  I was an even bigger fan of them in 95 with "Young Rich and Dangerous"

Da Brat is my favorite female rapper, I loved her first album.

ROC is a wannabe Jay-Z but I like him more then Jay-Z.

Lil Bow-wow is tight as hell for his age, but I won't buy his album, just cause he's too young, but I give him respect.

All JD's work with Escape, Usher, and Mariah Carey has made for some of the best R and B music in my collection.

YO.... anybody feel me on this?

I can say i like Life in 1472 from start to finish, without skipping a track.

The only other artists I like affiliated with JD are ROC on the features he does and Usher. JD's beats become to repetative for me to like all the time, and his new album isnt that good at all. If he grew up in the spotlight, then obviously that's what he is goin to rap about, since that's his life. But I aint feelin any of the other artists he works with.

JD is pretty boring to me... i always found him to be pretty lack lustre rhyming, and his production, while sometimes dope, usually just matches the style of the times.  I didn't care much for his LP, although the Dj Premier produced track and the joint with Slick Rick get play.

Kriss Kross was cool when they came out, but i didnt like their later work.  Da Brat never did it for me, R.O.C. well... if he wasn't JD's boy we'd never have heard of him.  Bow Wow annoys the fuck out of me...

trendy for the sake of selling records music just doesnt appeal to me...

I don't particularly like his solo work, i've enjoyed some of the beats he's done for others though. He's not diverse with his rhymes so they seem pretty boring and flat to me thats why I don't listen to his solo joints. I've liked some of the artists he's brought about too, Kriss Kross were one of my fav. groups around about the time they came out, my cousin was a huge fan. I think L'il Bow Wow has got alot of talent, especially flow wise, at the moment I can't really listen to his music, it's a little too poppy for me but I think he'll get better and better with age. Da Brat is a decent femcee, not one of my personal fav.'s but I can listen to her, especially her older stuff when she had that heavy tom boy image.
& I agree with Infinite that he has done some of the best RnB production with the likes of Usher & Mariah. I think he's better at producing for RnB singers that he is rappers as his sound is a bit too polished for some rappers' styles. He can get annoying though when he's all up in everyone's video's and those trademark "uh's" can get pretty irritating.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I enjoy his production for Usher and a few tracks here and there. I don't like his solo work at all. Like other people said he just bites people. I saw this old Kriss Kroos video from their album Da Bomb and J.D. copied Dr. Dre and Snoop's whole fuckin' style. They were ridin' in Lo-Lo's in Atlanta wearing khaki's, Ben Davis shirts and had their hair in french braids LOL! Now J.D. is biting Jay-Z with all that materialistic bullshit.

JD is aight..."Life in the 1472" was dope, his new one was aight, but he has dropped some real heated beats in the past...

Lil Bow Wow can suck my dick...He doesnt do shit, JD basically does all the work for him....

Da brat, naah, i aint feelin her. Rage is about 3 billion times better than her...

ROC, I never really payed attention to this cat...

Basically, So So Def is more Pop than it is Hip Hop...Most of the shit is made strictly for the radio for little 13 year old kids to play in their headphones...They have no content...They have no meaning in their songs...Its all just a bunch of rhymes thrown together, with an added hook that has nothing to do with the lyrics...I aint hating cuz productionwise, JD has dropped some bangers, but I'm not a fan...PeaCe

I like his beats, I just don't see any depth to his lyrics. But if he does a track for someone else I like, I am usually feelin his tracks.
