XXL Magazine letter to Master P...
« on: July 09, 2002, 05:42:32 AM »
Dear Percy,

We here at XXL know you've worked extremely hard to build your No Limit empire. We respect all of your tremendous achievements in the music and entertainment industries.

You are by no means the best rapper in the world but we've thoroughly enjoyed your songs such as "Mr.Ice Cream Man, "Make 'Em Say Uhh", and "Wooble, Wooble", but lately we haven't really been feeling any of your material. After suffering through "Ooohhh-wee", "Real Love" (Who was that white girl anyway?) and your newest single "Rock It" we have one request: PLEASE STOP RAPPING! You're just not putting out good music anymore and it's beggining to hurt our ears. We mean this in the best way possible. A while back you talked about hanging it up and we feel it's time to consider it once again. Thanks in advance

One Love, XXL

P.S. Whatever you're doing to your brother Silkk's career, can you please stop that also? Ok. Bye.

LMFAO!  Well at least XXL can do some good things.  Now that they have learned to recognize what is crap music, they need to learn what is good music.

^^^ Oh and I ain't hating on Master P.  I give the man much props for what he has done, I just don't like his music too much.  I will admit back in the day I used to bump it, but I haven't for like 4 years now.

Why dont you copy from the SOHH.com board a lil more often.  And yah-that letter was FOUL.  Master P has the right to put out music--leave him alone.  I dont like Michael Bolton but I dont give him shit for making an album.  And Silkk is tight..

Yah..Gameface is nothing groundbreaking, but its not like the kinda album that insults your intelligence to listen to.  Its not amazing, but its an average album that doesnt deserve these ruthless insults.

I couldn't believe that when I read that article in XXL.  I mean, yeah his music ain't what it used to be, but come on....Back in '96 and '97, almost everything No Limit and Master P came out with was dope....that was just wrong.

Lol, it's harsh but it's funny to think that they actually did that! I wonder what he though when he read it. Poor guy.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
