Hell yeah that is a classic. When did Black Star drop? Mos Def's 1st album is a borderline classic as well but I think that was before 2000.

I'm surprised to see Young Jeezy on your list.

that album really is fantastic but nobody will see that cause its Jeezy   down south, that album is heavily praised. A great mix of dope dark tracks with some radio friendly hits and definitely has that classic single that everyone should remember: Soul Survivor with Akon. The only tracks that aren't at least 4.5/5 IMO are Get ya mind right, dont get caught and thats how ya feel.

Jeezy for me I like his persona and swag more then his lyrics. A little too simple for me lyrically. You gotta understand I am spoiled on Scarface, Ludacris, Bun-B, Outkast, TI and cats like that. They got lyrics. But I will give Jeezy credit, he can make some hit records. I liked the album if I am in the car cruising but not much after that.

that Jeezy album was hard, I got that the summer it dropped and was bumpin' it non-stop... I just don't know though, something about it is missing for me to call it a "classic", but it is a solid album most definatly... Jeezy's second album was dope too, beats weren't as good but lyrically I think it was better

hell ya, one heck of an album. Everything from the lyrics to the beats were spot on. a southern classic perhaps? I personally was disappointed with the 2nd album. Hopefully "The Recession" is better.

Nah 2001. Pap was a beast on there.
