LMAO...is this a joke??!...as my man KVB said, i also can't believe yall picked "doggystyle" over "illmatic".... this is tha thread to use the expresionz: "shitz all over","killz", "eats and shitz","on a whole other level" etc...lol...of course "doggystyle" was much better produced, so what ?-it ain't thanx to snoop....it ain't like "illmatic" was completelly weak production wise- it wasn't just very segnificent productionwise, but lyriclly...OH my GOD- this was a slaughter of "doggystyle"  both flowise and for the main part and especially- lyriclly(so this kinda defines weather some of yall lean more to beat-listenin, or not..lol).....imo ILLmatic makes doggystyle look like nothing but an well produced album ,and dats it.

There's some albums I can't choose between and these are 2 of them. It's too hard, they're both 2 of my all time fav. albums ever, they are both pure classics and both bring different things that are important with any hip-hop record. It's too difficult a choice, but I do know this much, i'd pick "Doggystyle" over "Reasonable Doubt"  ;D

Not taking anything away from Illmatic (top 5 ever), but Doggystyle had a vibe that no other album has or will ever have...Both these albums raised the bar on both coasts and set new standards, but I prefer Doggystyle to Illmatic. 8)

Lyrically this don't need to be debated and I don't know how u can call the production on Illmatic weak. It's maybe kind of unobtrusive, but it's good. But since they're so fuckin different it still depends on my mood which one I feel like listenin to more

well a couple of peeps like kvb and igeezy be sayin shit like illmatic shits all over doggystyle? hahah what a joke. c'mon homies i don't give a fuck if u think illmatic is better but even if u think it's better it shouldn't be that much better u knwo what i'm sayin. IMO i never really like illmatic as much as everyone else( i know i will et hated on for sayin this shit) but i's true. i seriously think doggystyle shits all over illmatic in every fucken way possible except lyrically, and i'm really not the lyrical type or listener u know like i'd rather listen to snoop talk about the ghetto life back in the day then listen to nas talk about his life. so beatwise, rappin wise, flowise, and ne other way u can think of doggystyle shits all over illmatic IMO.

P.S. hey kvb i dunno how u can sit there and say nas is better as a rapper then snoop in everway cuz back in 93-94 snoop was the best rapper that ever graced the mic simple as that.

lyrically its illmatic, beatwise its doggystyle... doggystyle strikes me as the better put together album of the two... and although both are really flawless i'd say doggystyle.

there has never been a album like doggystyle, if you listen to the infmous by mobb deep it has the same feel as illmatic but you will never find another doggystyle.  but thse are my two favorite albums from east and west coast.  at first i did not like illmatic during that time but now that im older i see where nas head was and i can break what he was saying down.  snoop was giving it too you so plain and simple, "guess who's back in the muthafuckin house, wit a fat dick fo ya muthafuckin mouth"  i can relate to doggystyle more since its a west coast album.

Man, stop exagerating. First off Snoop is not a better rapper/MC than Nas is now, and he was not a 'million times' better than Nas was back then. I love Snoop, and if you read my reply in your thread over in the westcoast forum you'll see that I think if they started off their careers at the same time I think Snoop would of seemed better back then, but not that much better, he just stood out more because he was like nothing you've ever heard before. But Nas & Snoop aren't easily comparable though. You act like Nas is nothing, he is one of the best MC's ever, lyrically and flow wise, Snoop is not what he used to be, the sooner you realise that the sooner you will stop sounding like such a dickrider. Be a fan, show your support, but don't act like Snoop is still Snoop DOGGY Dogg.
