Wow i was expecting less. They aint done badly compared to most and seeing as none of their singles broke the top 50. I doubt theres few artists that could put out group albums and get sales like e.g. USDA anyone? But album was wack compared to Beg For Mercy and had nothin spent on it so im stll kinda surprised iiiiwll sell over 100,000 copies first week.

I'm bettin that Nas' first week sales will beat what G-Unit did.........I haven't listened to G-unit since around 03 but I downloaded TOS just to see what they have been up to & it seems that it is just the same old same old ish they put out(which is pretty much why I don't listen to their music anymore).....Yayo being on the album does more harm than it helps........the beats weren't anything great.........Banks just seems like he doesn't try that hard at spitting anymore.......& 50 isn't a rapper anymore.......all these things equaled a minus for G-Unit........they still have fans but I bet a lot of the fans that did buy the cd were disappointed & the cd won't be in very heavy rotation.......just my opinion

50 was played out a week after Get Rich Die Trying Droped.

I think the funniest thing about G-Unit new albums, is that bullshit rumor (that I wouldn't doubt they started him selves)that not enough album were pressed for the high demand. So if you wanted the album you'd have to get it right away or have to wait another week for them to press more copies.

wow, R.I.P. music industry

this just in , More jobs to be cut more people to be laid off

I was just reading in billboard magazine how sales are down from last year, and last year was the first year ever that the industry didn't sell something like 600 million albums. So this shit keep gettin worse and worse time for niggaz to find a new hustle.

And tos is an good album at that.

I also liken 50 is looking to get out of the contract with interscope and only did this album due to contractual obligation and label protestation - he couldn't release Before I Self Destruct as soon as he would've like and was told to relese a g-unit album instead.   Boys been talking about it for a minute or two so I'm not surprised.

I actually don't think the second half of this album is that bad.  50 & G-Unit get a lot of hate.

Yea bro not many people work at record labels anymore, there really isn't no more a & r's, everythings been wiped out... i dont know but can you recall a couple years ago, when people were making the arguement "the internet didnt kill the record buisness its not at fault, its the shitty music thats being put out"
well labels still have great assets, however cannot make any money off of them. kinda feel bad for those people who went to school for a music degree,
who went all out moved in from out of town in high hopes of coming to L.A./Hollywood to have a career in the record buisness.

"music is a great hobby, but a lousy buisness"

Got what they deserved:

- album budget of a mixtape
- same old predictable singles formula, same subject matter as in 03, no growth
- 50 wasn't even there for the most part of the promotion, he was shooting a movie and you know nobody gives a fuck about Banks and Yayo
- the cd must have been made in like 2 months, 50 probably wants to get off Interscope as soon as possible, allowing Banks & Yayo to get some dough in the process
- I can already see the exuse: "the album material was too agressive to be accepted by the general public/ demographic" from 50's favorite book "how to sound articulate and stay a G"

amen
