Talib Kweli & Hi Tek - For Women
Talib Kweli & Hi Tek - The Blast
Talib Kweli & Hi Tek - Memories Live
2Pac - Hail Mary
'Face Ft 2Pac - Smile
The Roots Ft Erykah Badu - You Got Me
Common - Retrospect For Life
Common - The Light
Nas - Take It In Blood
Nas - What Goes Around

Also, check out the whole of 'Face's "The Diary", that album is amazingly thought provoking.

I didn't want to include too many westcoast joints, this being the outbound connection forum an all, but I had to sneak a those 'Pac ones in because you must know how his music gets you thinking  :)

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Well as you can see i'm a big fan, but don't sleep on the two I listed, they fit the description of what you want to hear perfectly.

i got hail mary, it's alright, but it's not really that great (imo)

Ras Kass or Talib Kweli could eat him up on the mic if he was still alive

I personally think 'Pac was the best at writing about the subject matter he chose to tackle, also the emotions he brought out through his lyrics no other MC/Rapper can or has achieved imo, and he was amazingly prolific, but yeah, both Ras Kass and Talib are better MC's than 'Pac lyrically, I think it's impossible to compare them to 'Pac though, they're all in a league of their own.

But back to the topic, here's a few more for you:

Akrobatik & Mr Lif - Inhuman Capabilities
Afu-Ra - Body Of The Life
Binary Star - Honest Expression
The Roots - What They Do

plus he's dead, and neither of the 2 were big (i don't think, but i may be wrong) whilst he was alive

but nice unbias opinion there, esp from a pac fan. normally pac fans can't stand it when peeps say that there's an mc out there that they think is better the pac was
