He explained the beef on Radio 1's Rap Show on Saturday Night, it was a pre-recorded interview but it was pretty interesting. I never knew that they thought Em penned LL's diss towards Canibus, thats crazy that they thought that, heh.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

It's alright, homies...
But when it comes down to a battle rap, we all know Canibus will/& can destroy Eminem.
IMO

Eminem Is a dope mc, but in a battle against canibus....Pleeeaaase!!.
It's a no contest.
Canibus will eat him alive.
Listen to 100 bar's......listen to 2 round Ko, it's all to eazy.
I love Eminem aswell...But I am Able to acknowledge that Canibus will destroy him.
In an instant.

Eminem has fucked with the wrong Kat.....Canibus is to well connected, just imagine the "Horsemen"....yo...it's over.

"Talkin' bout Britney & Cristina Agilera, Nsync 2 have u ever looked in the mirror, your hair ain't really blonde and your eyes ain't blue...."

Although in Eminem's underground days, he could battle the best of them. I heard him just go off on people. Em I think beat Biggie in a battle in some radio station, doubt it, but my friend claims it happened. But it would be good I think. Might help Canibus, which I think is way this is happening. Remember, Em used to mention Canibus in his underground days and about 'Bus being tight. So who knows, though I love battles, I think it's going over board a bit.

I disagree... Em would kill Canibus, Hatesrats you got his latest album "C - True Hollywood Stories" ?
That shit was wack as fuck, not a single decent song on the whole album... frankly I don't know what people see in Canibus, he's just weak to me... but hell, to each his own.

Yeah homie, I got "C" true Hollywood stories..

I thought that lp was pretty good.
Considering the fact's that he didn't have no top notch producer to help him mixx, and arrange the lp.
But the fire & Hunger is still there.
I always thought people hated on this cd, cause he got in a few people's ass on this one, and "I agree he should just stick to droppin' shit like 100 bars"

although: we should acknowledge the facts that
Canibus will never be heard on the Eminem circut.
Cause Mtv won't touch him, but when it boils down to pure rhymes and ability to drop rhymes, there is absolutly no way people can say Eminem is above him.

Like I have stated before, Eminem is a personal fav of mine aswell, but push the favoritism aside and really examine it.
Canibus is Em's worst nightmare, cause if this battle happen's he is dealing with an mc who will never stop until Em, is humiliated.

That's what a battle rhymer will do.
Em' has just made an enemy mc for life, and this time it's not a beautiful girl, or lil' boy's and homo's who can't defend themself.....it's a ripper.
IMO..

Good post, I feel what you're saying... I would love to see an Canibus reply to "Square Dance", I strongly doubt he's gonna kill Em, though. Time will tell... but I admit "2nd Round KO" is fire.

Here's the lowdown courtesy of sohh.com for those who have yet to check out the audio:

While there is speculation on who said who's name first as a diss, Eminem spoke on how the beef with Canibus started over the weekend on Tim Westwood's hip-hop show out of London England. Em stated how he was approached by Wyclef and Canibus in 1998 (before Em blew up) and asked if he ghost-wrote the lyrics to LL Cool J's "The Ripper Strikes Back" which was a diss to Canibus. After Eminem denied writing the song, he explains that Canibus was rude to him.

"I met him four years ago at his video shoot, and honestly, he was an asshole," Em explained. "They thought that I did the LL diss record. Clef had asked me did I write it and I told him no, I didn't write it. Then Canibus asked me separately from Clef, and I was like 'Dog, I'm a grown man, I'd tell you if I wrote it, I didn't write.' Then he was like 'Yo B, I'm not gonna say that I believe you, but I don't trust nobody in this game, blah, blah, blah.' Then I'm like 'Okay, look, I didn't write it, I like your style, and hopefully one day we can do a record together.' And he was like, 'Yo B, get to know me first, come hang out with me first,' and walked away and left me standing there like an asshole."

Em continued saying that the next year, after the Slim Shady LP dropped, Canibus came to see him on the Warped Tour an apologized for his actions last time they met. Canibus brought Em a track for a collab, which he wasn't feeling and turned it down. The track in question turned out to be "Phuck U" from the 2000 B.C. which Em said sounded like it was directed toward him and LL, but really couldn't tell. Then Em saw the ads for the Canibus album, C True Hollywood Stories, where he was pictured holding a Canibus sticker. Em explained that he didn't know what Canibus was trying to do, but sent off a warning shot on "Squaredance" to see where Canibus stood.
