Quiet Storm Vs. Quiet Storm (Remix)
« on: June 04, 2002, 01:17:37 AM »
I think both these are classic cuts, from the beat, lyrics to the whole concept. Both are the kind of tracks that have that timeless feel to them. I personally like the remix better, it's one of my fav. Mobb Deep tracks & it's one of the few tracks that i've ever felt L'il Kim on, I love the OG but she just adds that extra bit of flava imo, and she supplies a dope hook. The video's dope too.

What does everyone else think?

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I like the original version better... I love the eerie piano beat of this song, it creates a dark sonic landscape who suits P & Havoc perfectly. The OG is flawless, the remix comes up short, IMO.

Remix. That's the party cut. The only time I enjoyed anything Lil' Kim was on. The beat was BONKERS! LOL!

I remember I went to this rave and they played that track. I was flippin' out all E'd up goin' crazy cause they never play hip hop at those things. I was pushin' fools and throwin' bows haha!
