Styles - Gangsta and a Gentleman (NICE featurings)
« on: June 04, 2002, 11:38:26 AM »
I will give good money to ensure that the M.O.P. tracks is produced by Rockwilder. I can only hope though.
Look at THOSE producers on there.
Rockwilder, Alchemist, Swizz Beatz & Shok is NICE INDEED.
This oughta outdo Jada's solo album by far, at least judging from the 1 track that I've heard from this, "My Life".

2. My Brother
3. Daddy Get That Cash (ft, Lil' Mo)

Yeah, this does sound nice. I was thinking of d/l it to sample but with my slow ass connection i'll be d/l all frigging day. "The Life" is soooooooooo dope though, one hell of a track and if the rest are anything like this then it's gonna be something to look forward too when I do eventually get my hands on it.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I'll buy this record the day it is released... Styles is one of my favorite rappers. I just hope the album will be devoid of commercial tracks, something that unfortunately looks unlikely, seeing the Angie Stone collabo. And word to 704D, "My Life" off the Soundbombing III compilation is blazing.

I think I agree with him. Styles is more Commercial than Angie Stone. Being part of tha Lox back in tha day when they were working with Puff.

Angie Stone might be on MTV2 alot but that doesn't make her commercial. Just means people like her shit and ask to see her on T.V. She doesn't have a commercial Image... her music definately aint Commercial... it's soulful, good music... I can see why people listen to her.. even though I dont.

Anywayz... I thought you would be a fan of hers. What did you think of tha song she did with Guru? I know you're into Gangstarr...

Angie Stone is dope, she's a commercial success yeah, but her music is pure soul. I'm a pretty big RnB/Soul so I can appreciate her music and her many guest spots with hip-hop artists have been dope. She's becoming one of those soul/hip-hop diva's like Mary J I think.

You're obviously referring to the track "Keep Your Worries" off Guru's third solo album, "Jazzmatazz - Streetsoul".

I was feeling that track. Really catchy, soulful shit. A good choice for 1st single, it is a shame that LP got majorly slept on... it didn't even reach Gold status. And that album was truly outstanding, start to finish. Fuck bootleggers... :-/

Rockwilder was supposed to remix this track, do you know if this ever happened?

Never heard anything about it... I strongly doubt that a remix exists.
