yeah Gangstarr are of the chains... def my favourite group in the East... with Guru on vocals and Premier droping the dopest beats... they can't be fucked with!

Peace

True, Guru is a very underrated, dope MC... and Premier is the #1 hip-hop producer, straight up... hopefully all true hiphop heads will buy their next album, and make it go platinum.. Gang Starr have deserved it.

Gang Starr.. Yeah, They're dope. Probably one of my favorite East Coast groups. I only own one cd though.. that's "The Moment Of Truth". Alot of the songs you recommended are from that cd.. they're tight songs. I didn't discover them till later but I've heard their old school shit and it's cool too, like if I would've known about them back then, I'm pretty sure I would have been bumpin them. Guru just comes off like a down to earth, sincere person when he's on tha mic.

For the ones who havn't heard too much from them I suggest you check out "Full Clip: A Decade Of Gang Starr" to start you off, it's basically a greatest hits comp & it has all their classic material on there & more. From experience I always find with artists I havn't heard too much from if they have a greatest hits album thats always a great place to start.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Gang Starr are mad dope, their only fault is that at times, Guru's voice can get mad repetitive imo, he's nice on the mic lyrically, but he can be too monotone, still their dope. Premo is up there with Dre in production terms without a doubt, that goes without sayin.

'Moment Of Truth' and 'Daily Operation' are my favourite Gang Starr albums.

"Moment Of Truth" are definitely their best album, in my eyes... the finest production, and some of the best Guru rhymes ever are included on that record... when listening to his independent Landspeed release "Baldhead Slick & The Click" he sounds wack in comparisation to his perfomances on "Moment Of Truth"... I hope he makes a worthy comeback on the new Gang Starr album though... one

Well I have the video's on his site, thanks to his site, he just gave me the names of the ones that aren't included on his site, which is helpful enough I guess.

Yeah it is.. a shame the videos are only Real Player snippets.. I seen the full "The Militia", "Full Clip" & "You Know My Steez" videos many times on German television... good quality Gang Starr videos are impossible to find on KaZaA or the Internet though... I tried mIRC, but it didn't help much... :-/ one
