WWF Split
« on: March 20, 2002, 09:15:18 AM »
What do yall think of the WWF split coming up? Advantages, disadvantages, etc.

ALso, Meltzer has a very interesting article about how itd be easier if was just random names picked and I have to agree.  A lot of egos will be bruised if their character's picked  anywhere after number 6.

It's great cause alot of wrestlers that didn't get TV time may have the opportunity to be on TV. And I heard that one company will expand it's woman's title division and the other will expand the Cruiserweight division.

I would love for the Cruiserweight thing to come true.

I'm glad wrestlers like DDP, Booker T, Lance Storm, Christian, Edge, ect will have a better chance to showcase thier abilities. There is alot of talent that has been wasted since the merger. Gonna suck to still only have 2 shows a week though. I don't see the split lasting too long.

I would love the cruiser thing to come true as well.  Theres so much talent out there.  Also..its good to have more talent involved.  Since wrestlemania, Brock Lesnar (who is awesome) and Rico Constantino have already debuted.  I love seeing fresh talent.

(Keep in mind HHH can work both companys)

I think Vinces company should have:
Rock, Hogan, and Kane as their main faces and Hall, Nash, and XPac as their main heels.

I think Flairs company should have:
Austin, RVD, and Edge as their main faces and have Taker, Angle, and Jericho as their main heels.

Eventually Id like to see Christian, Test, Venis, Lesnar, Lance Storm, and Raven be main heels in these feds.

As far as faces go I'd like to see Benoit (who should be back any week), Tajiri, Hurricane, Kidman, Booker T, (turn him face), DDP, and Tazz as main faces.

Also itll be interesting to see what the WWF does with  Rhyno, Kanyon, Mike Awesome, Hugh Morrus, Chavo Guerrero, and D- Lo Brown when they come back.

It's gonna be screwed up anyways, since it'll limit (imho) the amount of matchups you can have.  Because each show will have only half the roster = half as many possible match combinations.  ... like Rock won't be able to figh Austin, etc.  If course they'll do cross-promotion stuff, but it's gonna be weird, to me.

Think of how rarely we see Lance Storm, Val Venis, Kidman, etc on TV.  There are so many great talents that can benefit and be seen now.  Plus, it allows certain matches to appear more fresh now when they have the inevitable Raw VS Smackdown stuff.

I can't wait for D Lo Brown to come back. He was one of my favorite wrestlers back in the Nation of Domination days.

Then they fucked up and made D Lo one of the Godfathers male hoes and then made him into a genie along with that headbanger guy.

WORD i LOOOOOOOOVED the nation of domination , that was probably one of my favorite crews, i thought they were a WHOLE lot better than DX i mean FUCK you had:

Rocky Maivia (back when the rock was actually a tight ass wrestler)
Farooq
Kamma Mustaffa [sp?]
Mark Henry (didn't really like him but he was intimidating)
D-lo brown (after he lost weight he was 1 of my favs)
Savio Vega (he had a different name and was only around for like 2 seconds in the crew until he got his neck broke)
Ahmed Johnson

i'm probably leavin someone out but FUCK THIS WAS A TIGHT CREW!

Yeah I think you left out Crush (Bryan Adams) and Owen Hart.

I was rootin' for the Nation when they were fueding with DX back then.

What I remember most about them was their theme music. Right when there music hit "We are the Nation of Domination" and then that tight beat kicked in.

Ahhhhh the memories.

THis makes no sense, but it came from Jake so we must excuse him.  Lose interest due to it being on sooooo much (and yes, he did use 5 o's in so).  Jakey, you will only see Austin or Rock or Hogan or HHH or Jericho 1 time a week.  That makes them fresher..you wont see Rock the focus on both the monday and thursday night show.

::Shakes head in disgust and spits at Jake::
