have you read the professional reviews? (USA Today, CNN, geek.com.....) they say it's the best on the market

yeah the reviews (minus the media ones with commercial interests) aren't that great for them. they do seem be a pretty nice option for portable use, but that's an expensive pair of headphones to bash about in the outside world. for $350 you could get something way better. i got the denon 2000, they are badass and give true fidelity across the sound spectrum.



none of this means anything if your source isn't very good though. might as well buy much cheaper headphones.

To me, I don't think they are worth the price.  Nothing but a status symbol unless you are heavily into the music scene (producing and what not).
