many ways. search for emulators (programs that run the old systems) and subsequently search for ROM's. torrent / google would be your best choice

^you can buy a PS2 controller & a special cabel which you connect to your usb port (thats how I play my games) or just buy yourself a normal PC pad.

Yes it does work. I play N64, PSX, arcade & SNES games using my PS2 controller, all thx to the PS2 converter (mine looks different):

No problem, you just have to configurate your pad settings in the emulator & you're good to go.

you can easily get adapters so you can use a 64 controller too. emulators are pretty good they allow you to set-up the analogue sticks some even support rumble pack for a proper n64 experience. plus the graphics get upscaled for higher resolution monitors 8)

I bought a logitech control pad from best buy.  All you have to do is customize the buttons.

As for emulators, search through google.com.

I don't think Macs pose any problem, you just need a usb entry in your computer. That converter looks good, you can connect 2 pads, I can connect only one :P I bought mine used from a friend a couple of years ago & it works just fine.

I got an emulator for SNES and there are no options in the menu bar to make it fill the screen or make it a bigger picture
