with much respect to my homies Tech and Infinite
« on: August 28, 2008, 09:15:04 PM »
ya'all know that many years ago I was on that anti-establishment type many years ago. But over time I have actually threw my support to a mainstream candidate, not my Kerry I vote for him because his last name is not Bush, but because I truly think this man will lead this nation to where it needs to be. Tech and Infinite, well I never agreed with everything they say, I have always said both Dems and Reps is basically a decision of two evils, and if it wasn't for a man named Bush, I would vote 3rd party.

But with all due respect, especially after seeing Obama's speech on TV, I can say I'm a Democrat, this man has put faith in me that maybe, maybe, one of the two parties has finally got it, and we will see a president that will have the people in mind. I've been for Obama since I saw him in the community helping out the people, I knew this guy was for real. I still want a multi-party system, but for now, I can be completely satisfy with Obama as my nominee!!!!

Yes, let Obama become president, so that for once and for all he can ruin everything and maybe it'll be an eye opener for the people he's intending to help.

Did you really just let a hollow speech convince you? You must know better than that.

Come on MDogg man...  your just getting swept up in the emotions of the last few nights.  I'll admit that when I saw his wife speak, about her grandfather (or father was it?) using two canes to walk over and kiss her father, I actually had a tear in my eye.

It was emotional.  And when Obama spoke to the moment in history and about the "stirring" in the country I also felt that it was possibly a big moment in history....

But let's actually analyze what Obama was saying, and the speach loses much of it's impact, let me give you some bullet points you can respond to......

-Obama predictably claimed he could fix everyone's problems, provide for the poor, needy, old, sick.  Provide Universal Health Care, every American the oppurtunity to go to college, and so on..

-He said that being an American meant individual freedom--which is in step with the Constitution... but then he contradicted himself by adding--- it means (such things as) common purpose, coming together for cause greater than ourselves, shared responsibility----which is not in step with the Constitution and the founding principals--- and so on...

-Then he tried to sell us on the idea that although government has always failed us in the past, we shouldn't stop believing in government, because he can be the one to prove that government really is the savoir of the people (and not the free market)

So really, I have to ask you MDogg, because this is the fundamental issue at stake here.  Are you a socialist?  Seriously?  Because he was advocating socialist principals throughout his speach.  Now, if you are a socialist then I can understand why you like Obama.  Because he would make a great socialist leader.  He is honest, sincere, and I truly believe that unlike most presidence he geniunely cares for the less fortunate.

But please, I ask you to recognize that the policies he advocated throughout his speach were not in step with the constitution and personal liberty to own your own land, wealth, and pursue your own individual happiness according to YOUR OWN values.

Obama is nothing but empty talk and promises, a guy who keeps talking about hope and the future because he has accomplished nothing in the past. He has you completely fooled.

Giving good speeches doesn't make you qualified to be president. Results do, and Obama has never made any significant change his whole life.

"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

M Dogg, aren't you in Minnesota? Have you been down to the capitol at all this week? Just curious. I've been working so I haven't had the time to check it out.

The USA is an empire that needs to cause a lot of suffering in order to function as an empire. It may even get worse if Obama wins. McCain wins and the whole world watches closely and criticizes every military move. Obama wins and everyone will be tripping over themselves about how charismatic he is while the same shit goes down like how everyone was talking about Clinton getting his dick sucked while Clinton himself was approving orders that fucked over Kosovo big time. The only difference between Dems and Reps is that Reps get blamed for wars while Dems get blamed for taxes and spending. In reality they both act the same way. Bush spends more than anyone and Clintonian policies get more blame, or they blame the Senate. And Kennedy started Vietnam with LBJ taking into overdrive but somehow Nixon gets more blame for it than they do.

It doesn't matter who wins. I just prefer Obama because I'd rather hear him give speeches than McCain.

I'm just voting for the man cuz he's black and we've never seen a black man in that position of power before. Honestly. I have a feeling that's why a lot of people are gonna vote for him, fuck the bullshit...Sorry, I mean, "Change", "Yes we Can"..."Another bullshit political promise that doesn't mean shit"...He's black. We wanna see what happens with a black dude in office. Will lazy blacks still be so salty? Will our intl. reputation improve? Will the white house be painted another color? Will "nigga" or "nigger" be acceptable common place lingo for ALL races again? I'm voting for his black ass for sure just to see what happens...the rest of you can kid yourselves with disillusions of making change or a vested interest in American politics...but you know deep down that every president is still just a puppet for our governmental system of how the public should be ran..
