Official Dubb Union album thread -- It is out today, i have a copy.

The Dubb Union CD was released today!    I just got back from Best Buy and I have it in my hands right now!  For those of you having trouble finding it, it was not in the new releases and it was filed under the "Snoop Dogg" section, so try there.  The sticker on the CD said $14.99, but it rang up $12.99.

I listened to it once through already, and my honest opinion so far is that there are about 4 excellent awesome songs on the album, which are "Westurn Union", "Don't Like You Girl", "Dippin Thru", and "Bacc Talk".  There are about 7 very good tracks, then about 3 or 4 skipable songs unfortunately.  That could change after a few more listens, but so far, that's how i'm feeling.

It also has a bonus track "Westfest Mix".  The sticker on the CD claims it comes with a full Westfest Mixtape but it's really just one track with 3 songs all strung together into a 9 minute track.  The first one is a kurupt track, second one is the Warzone single, and the third one is a short Snoop Dogg solo.  I think all those songs were on the full Westfest mixtape that was given out at the concerts a while back. 

The CD itself is gray with an outline of the state of california on it, and there are additional pictures of Soopafly, Lucc and Damani on the inside. 

Definately a CD worth getting!  I'll have more of a proper review later on in the week after i give it more listens.

Yeah, that's what i figured.  I had a feeling it wouldn't be with the new releases, but i thought it would at least be in the "d" section....it was executive produced by Bigg Snoop Dogg supposedly, even though he didn't do a damn thing, and on the spine of the cd is says in real big letters "SNOOP DOGG presents DUBB UNION".  What an ego this dude has.

I just noticed, the name "Snoop Dogg" appears on the outside CD artwork 4 times, whereas "Dubb Union" appears only 2 times.  Have you ever heard such a thing where the label president's name is on an artist's CD more than the artists name itself, just ridiculous.

yeah, he did about half.  Much less than I had hoped, but hey, it's better than the 213 situation in which Warren G was a part of the group and snoop wouldn't let him produce ANY of the tracks, so I guess we should be thankful for what we got.

yeah, actually he does...much more than i thought he was going to.  He didn't check hardly any bitches on the mixtape, so i thought maybe he was getting away from it, but he's back to his old self on the album.  I don't have all his verses memorized yet, but his verses on "I Don't LIke You" and "Bacc Talk" are classics.  Straight up hardcore bitch checkin right there.

Come on!  Why isn't this on the front page of dubcnn.com??  They supported WU's mixtape to the fullest, now the album drops and not a peep from anyone.  Did anyone buy this album today besides me??  Come on people!!!  Y'all wanna know why the westcoast isn't making a comeback, here's a perfect example.  Us fans need to support the westcoast artists.  It doesn't get much more westcoast than this CD right here!
