I totally agree. I very rarely hate on shit here or bitch about rappers or releases, but listening to this album yet again on the way to work today I was struck by how really bad most of it is. When it's good - "Angel", "Let us Live" - it's great. But the vast majority is just awful, generic, commercial-sounding rap music (that's rap music, not hip-hop). I loved the guy's first two albums, but he's made no progression with the third. A real disappointment. I couldn't recommend anyone spending £10 on this - I feel bad enough that I did.

And Game said a long time ago that this album would have a universal sound to it and not strictly westcoast.

at the end of the day, though, I dont give a fuck about the sales. this stuff only matters when you're affiliated with the artist (as some people on here think they are) or if the sales might actually impact the future of their career. since game is taking a break from hip-hop after this album, I don't think that'll be a problem.

Also, keep in mind that 50 does more commercial sing song music for mainstream. Game does more commercial gangsta rap. A lot of these rappers like 50 save the gangsta rap style for their mixtapes as most Unit fans will let you know. I think Game would of been a top seller back in the mid 90's.

Game will never sale over 500k in the US. Album downloads, bad singles and the biggest is EVEN THOUGH WE HATE TO ADMIT IT THERE ARE TOO MANY 50 STANS. They are so loyal to 50 that they will NEVER, EVER buy a Game album. With over a milli worldwide I consider this a step forward. I wonder what the numbers are with including online downloads (that were paid for).

How did dude flop?? He's signed under Geffen not interscope or any of the other majors so he doesn't get the same promotion as some of his counter parts. He did his own promotion and he can sell 300k and make as much money as an artist who pushes 800-900k signed to a major deal cuz they have more to pay off and make less per record sold. Game doesn't get the same air time as a lot of others.

Geffen is a major label and Game is probably the biggest artist on there. I don't know where you get your information from but you're seriously twisting the facts around. You're making it seem like he's an independent artist. Geffen put a lot of money into his project. I would hesitate to call the album a flop because I really don't know the exact numbers involved but "Game's Pain" got a lot of radio play across the country and was on MTV/VH1. Again, no idea where you come with this "Game did his own promotion" story but if you think MTV played the video because Game showed up on TRL with the video under his arm then you are naive. Ditto for radio.
