the music changed because the new school fans don't get it  & make wack music because of that.alos it does not help everybody is too lazy to go buy a cd .. they rather take the easy ,cheap way out  & download or bootlegg it instead of buying the cd & that is so sad . if hip  hop went back to those days then new school  would not like it all because they would not get the attitude or the music .nobody in new school is original . instead we have bunch of bitting new school rapper  who can't make anything original at all . if want to blame anybody for how music turn out today blame puffy & biggie because they hurt hip hop because everybody bit from them.

In my opinion you can't blame somebody for doing something that everybody else wants to bite. It just means they came up with something excellent.

I haven't actually witnessed P step his game up, but I've read about Return of the mack and HNIC 2 being quite solid.ANd I can agree with you, solid albums keep getting released, dope new artists surface (Jay Electronica, Wale, Termanology)....

oh and the track os from Sunset Park OST from '96, which is full of dope ass material from Pac, Queen Latifah, ghostface, mc lyte....
