my main thing before ever hearing this album was how the lyrics would be affected but this album exceeded my expectations. the lyrics are as sharp as ever and the production is fresh and innovative. btw that song with john legend is fire too. kanye laced that. i say it's the album of the year.

ya he brought it lyrically. i love the john legend track. he named it 'paper trail' cause lyrics and boy was he on point with the title.

T.I. named this album "paper trail" because he was once again writing lyrics down on "paper" (something he hasn't done his last 3 albums or so) hence the title and hence the idea that this album is supposed to be more lyrical from him - and it is.

jigga, weezy, tip killed that shit - kanye came pretty weak (few good lines here and there) but he provided a dope beat and great sample hook.

I still can't decide who did I'm Illy ---> on one hand the basic melody has that space-ish voice thing which is Danja's style but on the other hand the beat is quite simple; no background elements that Danja always uses.

MLYE is dope but like Lilve Your Life, Usher's verse is unnecesary.

DEFINITELY not danja, the beat is too simple...

I didn't like Weezy at first, but some of his lines were hot - 'write ya name on the bullet make u feel special' 'runnin this shit like i got four thighs' 'my juels blue and yellow, the type of shit that make them call u carmelo' i liked that haha!
